I remember talking to my great gran about the Titanic sinking . She'd have been about 30 when it happened. She remembered Buffalo Bill touring, first seeing a car, the Wright Brothers flight being reported, etc. She died in '81. Crazy.

Love Mark Gatiss…. I saw him waiting outside our local co-op with his dog… a couple of summers ago….. I was absolutely star struck .. by the time I’d plucked up the courage to speak to him, he’d gone on his way. I Just wanted to tell him how much his work has meant to me over the years… regret it every time I walk past the same spot !

Lovely interview! Love his words about Barry Cryer, who I once made a sausage sandwich for in the Plough in Bloomsbury. Mark was a regular customer at the other end of the bar! We had a bit of a Darlo posse! Around that time two of us went to see his play in the back of a Chelsea pub. Tiny room. The full size dalek he had took up half of the stage!

Mark Gattis and Rob Brydon together what a brilliant interview thank you. now let’s press onto the most important issue in hand and that is the huge microphone. Yes it’s me again of the huge microphone in podcast society HMPS, Is there any chance that we can identify the bright spark who originally said look let’s video these podcasts as if it was in a radio studio situation and therefore we’ve got to have a huge microphone in front of everybody, in fact some people of a certain stature, Rob, if they position themselves properly but hardly be seen. Anyway it was wonderful to see the microphone again and listen to Mark Gatiss and Rob Brydon, when you can see him. Yet another fascinating conversation.
