Thoughts and best wishes to Jeff King and his family, it was heartening how close the squad seems to be. On this game. 1. Sobowale is a handbrake going forward, he doesn't have the confidence to make attacking passes and slows the build constantly by going backwards. 2. We all know who was in tears, and to be frank, good. That was so poor, glad he cares enough to be upset. 3. We create chances when we are direct, as the Gaffer said about Port Vale. Its great being good between the boxes but we dont create chances that way. The way we scored 4 against Newport was by getting the ball in the box. 4. Its ok saying that set pieces are a focus of training but its clearly ineffective. 5. Butterworth's body language was concerning from kick-off. There are green shoots there but the season will be gone by the time we start converting performances to points, then the squad will disperse and we need to start again. I'll be up at 4.45am on Wednesday morning to watch, please make it worth it!

Not creating enough though, and too slow in attack. Not just this game but all season Newport aside. Also conceding more than expected. You can say Hall and Delaney are injured, and that's true. But if you sign grant hall you know the injury risk.
Yep, I am with you. It is painful at the moment but I genuinely believe we are not too far away from being a decent side. We certainly won’t pull up trees this year but I do believe we will finish in mid table
I have respect for MK as a man and obviously I feel for him having lost his father recently. Also condolences to King, that is truly horrible. RIP That being said, the fact that we’re going to Port Vale expecting to get absolutely nothing from the game and have this weird defeatist attitude regarding our own ability really isn’t good enough. Like far from it. Talking about players like they’re just learning the game is baffling. We should absolutely be competing in this league and looking to be sat towards the top of the table as a bare minimum. Club is slowly being destroyed from the inside out and I really don’t see Mark being able to change much about that. Afraid it’s gonna be another agonising season and we’ll do well to stay above the relegation spots. What a sad mess this club has become. We truly looked like a non league team today. It’s excruciating to watch. 😢
Vale fan here. Not sure where the idea that we are a big team has come from. Probably got 3 players over 6 foot in the outfield players and 2 of them are our centre halves

Jayden Stockley is 6' 3". Lorent Tolaj is 6'. Brandon Cover is 6' 2". Ben Garrity is 6'. George Byers 5' 11". Tom Sang is 6' 2". Ben Heneghan is 6' 3. Connor Hall is 6' 4". For a Port Vale Fan you appear to know little about your team ! Even your keeper is 6' 3".
Poor old MK isn't well suited to live interview is he. Started off well. Agree with the initial assessment, then goes off with "deluded" (to win at port vale 3-0) and wobbles on about domestic violence in a very tentative link to the actual question (at least the BBC wiltshire version did). Edit: this version is understandable better than the radio interview, the above will seem harsh based on this interview alone. Horrible situation for Jeff King and for Mark Kennedy given his own loss. At that point I just want to give him a hug. I really really hope he turns this around. Critical month or so coming up.
@@calbre9981no he isn’t you’re correct, but if you don’t think this decline we have been on in the last 3 years isn’t on him and his cronies then you’re stupid. Year after year we’ve got worse ironically since our last game at vale park we’ve been awful.
