hey my story is similar although I have only seen him twice. I saw the Brother in Arms tour in LA and this September I have great seats at the Greek Theatre. I am so excited to see him. I can't say that I like the setlist when I see it on paper but I am expecting to be very pleasantly surprised.

Will see him June 23th for the first time. Can't wait :D Gonna be so awesome.

I hope that the show lives up to your expectations. It certainly should. I would advise you to get familiar with his newest record so you can enjoy hearing them live. Every song he's ever done is better when performed live. That's a sign of a good musician. In the studio music can be so sterile. Live, the artist is putting it on the line. You can't polish up the music. MK is excellent in the studio; he is much more than that in concert. Tell me how it goes.

@@nathanwhitten8950 I have already bought his newest album, although most of it is a bit too slow for me there are some lovely songs on it. (Heavy up, Bacon roll, One song at the time) Hoping 'Piper Till The End' or 'Local Hero' will be played. But anyway, just being able to see him up close (Got almost front seat) is enough for me :) But i won't spoil the experience by looking at footage from concerts from the past month.

If you will take the time to familiarize yourself with his newest record, the set list will be fine. You know that it's generally better to know the songs you are hearing live. If you are just wanting to hear a few great Dire Straits' songs you will miss out on some of the best songs in the show. He is not like most artists of his era; he is still writing and releasing new music instead of playing the same songs each time he tours. By keeping up with his solo career, I have enjoyed every show I have seen. I am giving you some good advice--give his new stuff a chance. It's great. And you'll love hearing those songs live just as much as you enjoy the old music. On You Tube, pull up Hill Farmer's Blues, Speedway to Nazareth, and others that show up when you play those. They are great. As good or better than Dire Straits. You'll enjoy the concert much more if you do this. Just because you haven't heard it does not mean it's no good. So many people assume that what they have heard is all that is worth hearing. Bad mistake. I hope you enjoy the experience.

i am so glad to say i have been so lucky to be in that performance . i was visiting berlin at that time and got to know he is going to perform there so i instantly bought a ticket on 10th raw from the stage. lucky me :)
