Agree Su Flo wish he'd release one of these fantastic shows on Blu-ray, I'v got the obvious ones like Alchemy, live in Berlin 2007 and Real Live Roadrunning with Emmy🎸💎💎💎💎🇨🇮☘️

Iì love the fact that your enjoying the music I'm playing for you all. Of course its not me.,but it could be. I've been playing guitar and other instruments for around 59 years. I do have passion for music anyone's.
oh my god, this is wonderful!! thank you so much for posting this. i saw mk last year on the get lucky tour, and found other concerts but i just found this now.
@Daveloves RealMusic-You are correct, musicians who only play for the almighty $, are two a penny... These guys are unique, no plagiarising,or drama , just good music...
@selfenten Indeed :) YT is a nice way to connect all live performances of Mark and the band. I'll upload a few of the live recordings I've been to two years ago, I've just got to find a bit of spare time :(
He is playing the great songs off his last 2 lps..they didnt sell well..they are too GOOD for the average person who are used to flash and pomp..it was just good music,
no point in putting up an epic song like telegraph road if it's incomplete. you might as well leave it out. oh we're being told a story not ah damn bedtime i'll tell you the rest tomorrow.
I had a front row there, when we stood up the crow behind yelled at us... We couldn't stand as they couldn't see the stages.... This floor of this venue isn't well organised ....
Classic Mark. "Just give me rotating blue and red lights and maybe a little fog for effect". He needs no fancy setup or pyrotechnics... Just his guitar. Great video, thanks.
Back in 1983, I saw David Bowie do his Serious Moonlight show in this venue. Now, thanks to this vid, I got another great music experience in what some long ago forgotten Roman workers built by hand. Thanks, Bowie. Thanks, MK. And thank you Cesaer Augustus!
Rafael says one of the best. I've been following MK for many years and for my money he is the best. I love my music and there are a lot of great artists out there but Mark is the complete package, song writer, singer, guitar player afficionado bar none, leader of the band and one cool cat! I saw him live and he exceeded my expectations and they were plenty high! What a great symbol of humanity. God Bless Mark Knopfler and his supporting cast for all their greatness. Amen.
despite how much I loved Sultan of Swing (listened at least 1000 times+), now I'm feeling strongly that MK's performances of it has long peaked almost 2 decades ago while Telegraph Road still shines brightly and even more complex chords played in his more recent performances; I now like it best.
The sound of your voice and your guitar are deliciuos, i would listen to you for hours and hours even just talking...even without understanding anything!!! You are the greatest !!!❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸
I saw the Straits on the Live in 85 tour twice at the NEC - second time I was on the fifth row. And spent the evening hanging off the stage. I can barely hear to this day ;) Still my favourite guitar player of all time and my inspiration.
Saw him on this tour, in Phoenix, Arizona. As a fan since the first Dire Straits album, it was one of the high points of my life to see him pay live. No way to really describe how moving it was to see him play. Plus seeing al the different guitars he played.
00:00 - What It Is 07:50 - Prairie Wedding 12:25 - Hill Farmer's Blues 17:35 - Romeo and Juliet 25:55 - Sultans of Swing 35:00 - Done With Bonaparte 40:05 - Speedway at Nazareth 41:05 - Telegraph Road 46:00 - Brothers in Arms
I love MK, but for me, I could REALLY lose the fiddle, the pipes and any lap guitar - they are just redundant, and the Irish "diddly-dee" thang really gets real old, real quick.
@dygnus I agree!!! And the piano in this version is a bit specific at some points. :) As Mark said, the quys never play the same thing. All telegraphs have its own lovely characteristic why we listen them again and again.
The reason that those young ones are not aware of this wonderful genius is because of the invention of "computer music" where people didnt even use guitar and drums to make music. They still got music, however the quality, well we all know what type of quality music nowdays. But im 19 and i love Mark since i was 17. I heard his Telegraph Road and Brothers In Arms and straight love his music :)
