Sad that he is gone, but at least he did stay around a while longer than some of his peers. He left behind amazing work with his music and books. And the interviews...such a great storyteller. Rest in peace Mark.

@@blaineedwards8078please remember you are appreciated and loved and that is not just hyperbole. Weather God understands or not if you do what you were mentioning to do please tell your family you love them first. I know in Olympia Washington where I live there is a great phenomenal psychiatric ward at St. Pete's where if you're feeling like that and tell the people at the ER they treat you very kind and seriously and you can stay there for up to a week or two and with other people that are going through similar and if you want you can get some help as they are incredibly caring staff at a really great place, plus each person gets their own room with their own shower and you can pick all your meals it's great. I wonder how I know 😊. My roommate found me on the floor thankfully on linoleum in a pool in my own pee completely still knocked out at 6am. I still have the old concert bill from one of the times I saw the screaming trees, it was at the Capitol theater in Olympia Washington with the misfits headlining and screaming trees second and the fitz of depression the first band. Phenomenal concert!! That's coming from a guy that was really good friends with Fitz. Whole bill was great a memorable awesome night. I've got numerous stories just about the screaming trees set from that night. I'm not sure if you live in Pacific Northwest but if you live in Olympia you're definitely welcome around my house and I'd definitely love to get to know you in person and let's just say I wasn't a choirboy either so I'm sure we could talk shop about how we're still here and what we've been through. Remember you are appreciated. Brad

For Mark 53 was old . His body was aged and battered far beyond its years . He had health issues that went back to his teenage years and was a hard core Alcoholic and raging Heroin Addict for a couple of decades . He was also a heavy smoker right up to the end. The damage from that lifestyle puts you under early even if you stop at some point . Mark also caught Covid and was in a Coma for a month and needed dialysis regularly after wards . He was in poor health long before that . In realty it's a miracle he didn't die in the 90s and in fact he almost did several times . He was constantly sharing dirty needles with people as well. It's a mircalce he made 53 at all . You don't live like Mark did and live to see your 80s and Mark had health issues before all of his addition issues . Mark lives 100 years by the time he was 35. Mark was a smart man and knew his body was too destroyed to ever see 80.

I mean dude was a heroin junkie and did a lot of dirty things and a lot of things he regretted in his life. That wisdom and peace you see in him later is a result of having lived hard and seeing and being all the dark, impure things in life. His perspective was earned by being a.human who lives and grew.and changed, not gifted to him by some spiritual or cosmic force of design or chance.

He was a survivor and his creativity just got better and better in the last 20 years. A great mind who gave us great lyrics and music. And that voice... It was like Tom Waits and Jim Morrison had a child. That Voice could transcend through any type of music as you can see in all the collaborations he did through the years. A huge loss.

This is so weird. Well not really given it happens all the time but it never ceases to amaze me when it does happen. There are odd and peculiar events that take place in life if you have the eye to see them. The one events are synchronicity’s and they happen all the time and more so now that I have had access to the internet. But I’ve notice I’ll be thinking of something never revealing that subject or idea or recollection or what not to anyone nor uttering it aloud and then that same notion I was having comes up somehow in my internet or daly life somehow in what I hear snd see and read in dally life. I was just thinking about the idea of how it effects us to learn of passing away as a child because I remember it having a large impact on me when I learned this information in early youth. I wanted to write my ideas of the psychological effects and how it may effects all of us or just certain individuals. And of those not effected if it still caused any noticeable psychological or physical irregularities or dysfunctions from response to learning this information as a child. So this was not just like thinking about a song and it showing up this was a pretty unique and individual thought that I am sure Is common enough but still quite unconventional. And I had just looked up Mike Lanegan today and until this very day have never had any of his independent videos (that is not without the band Queens Of The Stone Age) show up in my RU-vid or internet feed so that makes it much more baffling. But these type of events happen a lot to me it seems not all the time but just certain times which are anywhere from weeks to months they go on. But I am trying to learn more about there events and others like them so if anyone knows a good book or source of information regarding these subjects could you please let me know??
