Flair giving short answers and not being able to tell stories wont be a problem on Conrad's shows as commercials take up about 2 hours of each episode.

No, it's just the stage now where the guy is hanging out at the party longer than he should have. Sad. Flair could have aged, and become a statesman for the business and his image. Madden got done dirty, plain and simple. He did his best to hold that podcast together. Trying to manage a conversation where Flair was either giving one word answers, or going off on tangents that led pretty much nowhere? It was like herding cats. The first one went for awhile and it stopped for a bit because they switched podcast companies. They brought it back with big hoopla and then Ric discontinued it after not very long, with Conrad citing Ric just didn’t wanna do it anymore. I think it’ll depend on the money. I think he booted Madden because the money wasn’t what he wanted so he’s jumping to the proven product in Conrad. I imagine if the checks are good he will stick with it awhile. But I also think Conrad knows it could happen so I don’t think he will be terribly upset since he knows it could be coming anyways.

I enjoyed their podcast. My only issue with Mark Madden was the volume of his mic. It was always louder compared to Ric's and it was very distracting. I've always been a big fan of Ric Flair. I started watching wrestling back in the mid 80's and loved those Jim Crockett days. I'd say Ric is probably my 2nd favorite wrestler of all time just behind Sting. I had the pleasure of meeting Flair twice for autographs/photos and both times were very recent and enjoyable. I'm also a big fan of The 4 Horsemen and they've remained my favorite faction. I think his daughter is a great wrestler in her own right. Yes, the Flair name helped her, but I think she's earned every bit of success she has. All that said, it does hurt seeing Ric behave the way he does these days. Despite what Ric says, he's not gonna find better friends than the ones he's made while working in the wrestling business. And It's hard to watch him throw that away. Friends such Arn Anderson, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, and possibly Tully Blanchard. I keep Ric in my prayers. I know he has a good heart but I feel like he's a bit lost at the moment.

I never understood the reverence for Flair--at least by those in the wrestling business. From all the stories I've heard, he seems like just as big of a me-first egomaniac as Hogan.
@tonshaad1230
@tonshaad1230 2 года назад
Hogan put more butts in seats and also carried the industry for twenty plus years. Flair was a heel, in a hick territory, and had multiple championships that were all won by ill-gotten means (besides his reign against Race in 1983).

Most wrestlers from this era are adult babies. They act like teenagers throughout their entire life Bc they’ve never had to have a real job or be accountable. They take no responsibility for their actions then when they’re too old to wrestle and have blown all their fortune drinking, partying, and doing drugs. They start playing a victim and asking for handouts instead of getting a real job like the rest of society.

Good point. I’ve have known a few musicians who act the same way. Probably goes for people in the entertainment business in general. Never had to “grow up.” I mean, good for them for having fun and living interesting and exciting lives, but it can catch up to you eventually if you don’t adapt with age.
