@jitseknoop3408 You might be correct about Amy Sillman not currently using brushes, I remember her saying something in her recent Art:21 documentary about experimentation with nontraditional painting tools. But I don't believe that you are correct about Sillman 'never' using brushes. According to the Paris Review she did at one point, a quote from a 2010 article by David Salle: "Amy Sillman combines great lyricism with psychological scrutiny in all her paintings. But she works in two dominant modes, each of which derives from the kind of tools she uses: One involves all manner of marks, from slapping to fanning to pointed drawing, made with traditional brushes; the other is achieved by scraping and dragging and drawing with a palette knife and soft oil-stick crayons."
