True! And the very reason most people were skeptical and cynic about the genre Mark chose, cos they didn't expect it from Mark. Well he's quirky ever since, and he just want to have his own style apart from being a pop star. Glad he followed his own depth and passion for his music. Robbie once said in his interview that Mark's music is the most authentic amongst them and he praises and admires him for that.
@@kayedeloyas8304 He deserves so much better, because as you said he is original and soooo good and then he is just the best human 🥺 I’m so happy he followed his own! He is one of a kind and can’t wait for more music by him 😍
@@kayedeloyas8304 I was a tiny little 13-year-old boy band fan at the time and I loved his album, it introduced me to rockier and more alternative music than what I was used to. Is That What It’s All About is one of my all-time favourites. I was gutted when he didn’t get the same success as Robbie and Gary’s albums.
When listening to Mark Owen you really start to forget he was a pop singer from Take That. you can't help but think he's a rock artist. Anyone agree like with 4 minute warning, Clementine, and I Am What I Am.
slicky kid. i agrèe thats why i thought he was a silly buggar going back with boring GB & H D. i think thats why robbie & Jason left. they got bored with the crap gary wanted.
I was in that concert in La Riviera (Madrid) in 1997!!! . 23 years after, I Will meet the guys reunited again on july!!! ( my 15years old girl will be so excited!!!! ))) ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
this was the time of ultra-pop and boy/girl groups. Mark’s solo career failed because his music was before its time. if he released music like this today, it would get played like crazy on the radio. he was a genius in the wrong time.
My first favorite when I was a teenager. There was a sensitivity, something more in this boy. I loved this sweet madness, this originality, this little revolt against the standards ... we saw in his way of being while remaining nice. A good guy! (sorry for the level of English).
Geez...I'm here again re-watching his MV's and lives!!! I just love how Mark's voice complimented his music. Be it this version or the rockish one, it's just pleasing to hear. If he only brought his music to America, Australia and Asia where this alternative pop rock genre is arising that time. And with proper promotion and advertising, with his charisma and great music he would've been bigger than his contemporaries. His songs were way too much better than them.
What's in the past, should stay in the past... he has too much potential to base upon a song which he made so long ago. Up till now he has released four studio albums from which his first 'Green Man' is the weakest one. I hope for his 5th brand new album instead.... and f**ck the chart position, he doesn't need a fake TT fan crowd to buy his music (which only swoon around Gary 'boring' Barlow). Mark has his own audience, much smaller but not fickle.
Alucinante esta versión!!! El vídeo se grabó en España? Simple curiosidad, salen imágenes de la TV española y el típico toro de Osborne y me ha llamado la atención 😜 Qué grande eres Mark!! ❤️❤️
I know right? I was like 'what I've seen? Is that...?' and yes, it is xD 3:21 is that the Spanish NT?! xD And the end the Osborne bull?! xD So random haha :D
