Thank you so much for the comments and I really should have done the side by side on my presentation but I'll put one together and post it on my community page for you.
I tried desperately to edit 2 photo's before and after but just couldn't figure it out I got to pictures together but RU-vid wouldn't let me post the picture as the Aspect Ratio was not right. Sorry but I did post the same two pictures under my Community but you have to switch left and right to see them.
That's for sure Loyd it took a little time to get used to shifting between your legs LOL It reminded me of sitting next to my Dad and learning to shift the truck, shifting with my left hand! Cheers; Markus
@@grenrudd6464 Thanks for the comment Yes there were several models of 2100's that had the shifter on the side. Yes the steering levers are also between the legs, they are also mounted on the seat so when you go up and down with the seat the levers did too. Cheers; Markus
I spent at least a couple of thousand hours driving 2100Bs....first was powered by a 300 CID Ford gas engine, New Process 435 transmission....towing rollers or powder makers....next was a 2100B powered by 300 Ford diesel, same tranny...towing a mogul planer....next was same configured cat with a 6 way blade up front (no wings). The blade up front was the downfall of the whole 2100B line: the stresses put on the tub by the blade were just too much and the tub cracked/warped and destroyed itself. My advice to you is if/when conditions get hard/icy...keep that blade up in the air...or else!!! Congratulations on the beautiful resto job!
Thank you so much for the kind comments It was a fun build and like you this wasn't my first 2100-B, one with 391 Ford V8 and automatic transmission at MT. Ashland in Oregon no blade but it had the fold up dresser bar, the next was at Ski Round Top in Lewisberry, Pennsylvanian and like the 2100's you operated it had the 300 CID Ford gas engine and the automatic transmission no blade. We had lots of ice on the slopes there so mostly pulled the powder maker at Round Top and sometimes the mogul planer. Most Area's that I work at had numerous Thiokol machines 1400 Series Imp's and 1200 Series Spryte's (the work machines with blades). At Ski Cooper in Leadville Colorado We pulled rollers and mogul planers with our Spryte and Imp no 2100 Packmaster's though. It seamed like we always had an odd Tucker or two machines at each place and at Ashland we always got to Demo the new Tucker's as they would bring them up from Medford. Again thanks for the comments Cheers; Markus
