I was already feeling emotional and teary, then at about 2 & half minutes, the lad in the audience wipes his tears... Love this slower version better than original & some covers; Mark pulls up all the emotion. It's how I saw him sing it at The Rocks in Sydney. Gorgeous, raw song!

This has to be one of the best songs that was ever written.

God I love this particular version of this song! Mark is such an incredible artist, I have listened to this and many other songs by Mark and the under tow on constant repeat for the last 10 months as it gets our baby to sleep. In spite of all that repetition I still find myself playing his music, and singing along at the top of my voice in the wheel house at work. My poor decky. It’s 50/50 as to weather our daughter falls asleep or sits up and rocks side to side to his music haha.

I just heard this after the Australian Open relief benefit tennis match that aired the other day. It was only a small bit during the ending montage depicting images of the tennis players as well as images of the fire in Australia. I could not help but be moved and I had to come to RU-vid to find the song. I absolutely love it.

Well, I have never heard Mark Seymour sing this before; wonderful. I've only heard it sung by Neil Finn and Eddie Vedder, both of whom do it justice, I think (--and they are both like demi-gods to me as singers, I like almost anything they sing! Haha!) But they really don't compare to this, which I now realize is the original. It is really beautiful. What a touching and strong voice. Very very wonderful. Thanks, Mark Seymour.
