Mark Shreeve is still one of my favorite E-music artists of all time...Tangerine Dream from 75-89 era and Mark plus his Redshift project...EMMA Concert is my top 3 concerts...just after Poland and Livemiles....RIP Mark
Am listening to this end of April 2020, and, remember the days as a teenager, a mate said "you like keyboard stuff, have a listen to this guy", maaaaaaan this guy Mark? He literally blew my brains out!!! Just discovered this live gem, and, wish he'd included in the tape/CD version, this part - 43:11... a brilliant touch to a fantastic track. Damn them were the days! Peace out, and, stay healthy people! 😎
Mark along with John Carpenter so influenced me back in 1985.....I went out and spent a fortune on synths and my trusty Yamaha MT1X four track recorder....made my own music back then.....bit of a 25 year hiatus.....now it’s Logic and a cheap midi controller, even now I am drawn to the Mark Shreeve sound.......Mark Shreeve may you one day return to our lives..cheers for sharing, appreciate the effort
I was looking to buy a Mark Shreeve CD and heard they had them at WindSpell Music so called them up and when the phone was answered "Hello This is Michael Garrison"... so I said hey I have one your records and like it.
I totally agree with you. I told Mark in 1999 that if there was a production he should publish on CD, it was Firemusic. But - as many know - he gave it to me in 1981, as a thank you to his start to his career. I had the original he thought he had lost? Therefore, the Firemusic YouTub became because we agreed to do this to comply with all the demand for this particular cassette. Maybe I should ask his wife Sue to publish it as a CD?
this is really good! i dont know how i got here, but i need more of this!! Reminds me when i playing alot of Bitmap Brothers games. I want more of this sort of artists in my playlist. Any tips?
Nearly all these songs are from Mark Shreeve's released albums: Crash Head, Nocturne, Legion, Power House and so on. His best album I think is Assassin, look into it, he's one of the greatest electronic artists ever.
This guy was, is a genius.....he has influenced so many.....and one in particular, ME.....I bought lots of synths back in the 80s, taught myself and just had so much fun.....not copying Mark, but goodness so influenced, even today it sounds fresh and exciting.....just that beat to Assassin......shivers down my spine.....Mark come and take the world by storm after this damn virus has been driven off the face of our planet......stay safe and let’s rewind to those halcyon days before Logic hehe...
