Stars fan here, hell of a series, great hockey. The Vegas organization failed the players. Can’t blame the players for the cap and trade issues. Vegas could have easily won if they had better synergy. Hope stone rests well for next season can’t wait until our next 7 game series

@@RVGTvTv I’m one of the few stars fans that played hockey so I know a bit more about the sport than most in Dallas. Born in 95 so I was a kid watching the 99 team win the cup and been playing ever since. Playing the sport helps you be a bit more objective in my opinion.

They were $10 000 000 over the normal salary cap. i understand that there is no rule to stop them but come on, they have 0 integrity. sure mark stone was injured but they 100% milked the amount of time he was out in order to pick up hertl and hanifan. no other team can collect those players because their team is healthy. you see the problem now?

@@lowtierduster-7254 you can’t expect everyone to follow the moral high ground. That’s why there are some laws in society on the books to combat that and also rules in pro sports. Unless the NHL passes rules it’s just a bunch of I think what they should have done opinions. I get what you’re saying but that’s the byproduct of not having rules for this matter and some teams find loopholes. Same loopholes that exist in the judicial system where guilty people are found innocent and get away with whatever because the law wasn’t robust enough at that time to convict them. You can’t be tried twice for the same crime either so a non guilty verdict is sealed and done with.

I’d still give them credit for winning their first Stanley Cup in only their first six years. That’s faster than other teams have done, other teams are decades older (Sabres, Canucks, Panthers, Senators, Coyotes) and still don’t have any.

That style of building a team can only work for so long, and right now Vegas is dead in the water. Add Tomas Hertl at around 6 mil to a team already above the cap along with extending hanafin? Wonder which fan favorites get the axe next

@@vincentlawrencerlevelheaded fans don’t think Stone faked his injury. The issue is with management milking his injury for every penny and having an unfair advantage year after year. It just shows how little the organization cares for its players or their reputation around the league. It will catch up to them as players know they are disposable. Who would want to play for them?

@@partonsd Winners want to play for them and covering up a surgery isn't something his doctor can do, so enough with the fake injury BS, you need to accept the fact that Vegas has not cheated or broken any NHL laws. These guys don't pick what team they want to play for and go to that team, they are offered a salary and these grown men choose who they will play for knowing that it's a contract that won't last forever. It isn't guaranteed you'll stay with that team. The NHL isn't a safe space for people to feel good, it's a business that pays a lot of money to make a lot of money and will be around way longer than any 1 player, so that 1 player should consider his options and not be soft and emotional when it comes to being traded or dropped.

It’s sad when management has a win at all costs strategy that marginalizes its own injured players in the process. This GM’s ruthless tactics exploiting a loophole in The Cap..I am a lifelong hockey fan transplanted to Vegas finding it tough to support this. Imagine your own roster of players under siege forced to defend their healthiness status. A large dose of fairness needs to happen moving forward. No bridge deal offered for last year’s Conn Smythe winner..it’s too bad.

Vegas could have easily won if Eichel stayed in LTIR longer with Stone, and they got an extra $10 million cap space, to use, before Eichel also miraculously came back for the playoffs. They didn't cheat correctly, so they lost. Too bad. Bye.

Let's see how the Knights get out of cap hell. Will Stone require more surgery at the start of the season ? Will they trade away assets at a discount ? Maybe somebody will need surgery that requires the whole season to recover, and guess what they're getting it done in late September. The whole league hates the Knights, so I doubt GMs are going to be lining up to allow they to dump cap unless they're giving up 1st round picks. I guess we will see how that pans out, and who knows, will the Knights press their luck and go for a fourth year Stone deadline injury trading spree. Somehow, I think the league doesn't believe their bs. After three years, who doesn't see a pattern. If the league digs up any evidence, they should fine the Knights two first round picks at the minimum.

Why would anyone be jealous? The Stars created southern hockey and had winning teams for a long period of time. If you choose to buy a title then you have to deal with the downside. .aging roster, no cap space and bloated contracts. Johnson and Faska were first round picks by Dallas and sat in the minors. That's how you build a team because Vegas was no longer a player away.
