If I lived near Graveyard cars facility I'd get a job there part time,I've done auto collision since forever and have done restorations as well since forever, still doing it,just not so young anymore lol. Spent my weekend on a 70 BB 4 speed Chevelle SS that I'm doing the metal work on for a friend, just the metal,I don't paint,I do prime my own bodywork but that ain't painting. Aftermarket quarters for any of the old stuff is a facsimile,it has to be made to fit, modified, body lines moved in some cases,or added in other instances, keeps me busier than I want to be.I plan on retiring in a couple years but will still probably work a little to stay tuned up,or maybe drink beer and fish some, that's always an option. That was a great repair for sure, that's a rare car and deserved to be fixed correctly.
That is a hell of a guy for fixing bad work on that car for free, I know that thing costs a ton that is nice of them, how you keep and get new customers! Beautiful car!!
Mark is the absolute polar opposite of the guy I worked for in Ovilla, Texas. Knowledgable, honest and fun. As opposed to stupid, crooked and mean as a snake. Still, I can't believe that he's found a way to make this business enjoyable. Maybe.
@@HansBelphegor If you're not having fun with it, and taking care of your crew. You will absolutely not succeed in this business. Local collison shop i've gotten to know. Has had his orginal guys since he opened. And was able to buy the second shop down the street from him. Made millions in a decade. And still has his orginally guys. that he pays well, and takes care of since the start. All the work, let him have one of the most wild Mopar collections i've seen in person. Multiple drag pak's, etc.
I had one of those bosses as well, took 3 years early retirement and didn’t get my full benefits from the city but one of the best decisions I’ve ever made as I was literally staying sick with shingles from every day harassment from the guy. Haven’t had one single shingle breakout in 3 years.
Im a Chevy guy ( 64 impala dream car ) and will never own Mopar, but i will kno a whole hell of alot about them🤣love the show Mark, your knowledge is impeccable and Ive learned a lot of tips!
Must be nice to have friends like Mark. Heck, a paint job with some light body work on my 66 Fury was quoted at about 10 grand. All the work that was done to this car, for the average guy, would have been a fortune. Worse yet, you wouldn't have seen that car back for about a year with these people around my area. Looks great, big win for the owner.
It was called the torque flight by the way and so true on fit and finish in 1968 Barracuda 340 ordered from the factory, As my brother pointed out , man this thing's got Orange peel all over and the doors really don't fit that great there is nearly half an inch gap on Doors.. It was 1968 and that's how they rolled... I bet your fit and finish is actually much better than original 🙏🙏
I believe the girl that owns or owned this is suing them, because they did a horrible repair on her car. I believe this is the car I read about and she posted with pics of the shotty work graveyard did. Probably because of insurance cost restraints.
Are you going to post a link to this? or just say random things? Couldn't find anything. And I mean we all just watched most of the work done on it. Looks fine to me. In fact, 10x better then all the bondo that it had on it, when they recieved it.
I watch car programs to see how the job is done not listen to someone telling me how much they know about cars. So I will guarantee Mark that I will not watch another episode
All I can say about all the videos I have watched from you guys is that I am so jealous and proud of people like yourselves that refuse to be beaten and take on the so called impossible job's refused by someone else and show how it can be done. Amazing workmanship buy all of you and I wish I could be there doing that job with you as I love creating things out of not much and also saving things from the rubbish (Trash) when they can clearly be saved by me. My car aint starting any chance of a hand ? 😂
I have a 1970 Charger R/T and can't find the built sheet anywhere I have looked for it for 3 years and still no luck can you recommend someone who can find it I want to know if it came with the 440 letters on the hood or just the paint on the hood insert's? Does it make a big difference if I put a six pack on it or not for re-sale? thank you
When I was about 18 (was working and had some xtra cash) I decided to look for a muscle car. I looked at Mopars and talked to mopar owners. They loved their cars but I was surprised with what they lived with..... horrible brakes, verrrrry sloppy front ends and poor quality fit and finish. I then bought and lived with a 1970 mustang for a while. It shocked me again how poor the car's braking and overall driving was. So I found and purchased a 1970 Chevelle convertible SS. What a difference. What Mark is doing.. when he does restomods is make the Mopars the way they should have been. I will always agree that Mopar has the greatest look in regards to Classic muscle. They just scream sporty and fun.. They just don't deliver very well in stock fashion. Mark drinks too much of his own Kool aid lol. However, it's great to know someone is doing what he is for Mopar, they really need it. Cheers
Drunk on his own coolaid. That's the world's way. I really like this channel. And I like the cars. But... As my former pastor once said...it's all gonna burn. (Again)
@@dannyr3346 Well no one really does the performance cars across their line up, better then dodge. And instead of playing favorites. I recommend just loving anything ICE powered while it lasts. Everyone is ramping up the eletricafication race. And it's happening sooner then people thought it would happen.
Mark needs to do a Give Away!!! Sel Tickets for the Ultimate Build 1 of 1---> 1972 Convertible build on a 2023 chassis with a Hellephant Shaker Hood and 6-Speed! Postol-Shift! 1M Dollar Build!!!!🤮🤮🤮🤮
I love the old gm mopars and mustangs they all have class works of art style , it seems to stop in 72 some after but not much . I found a Daytona in junk yard when I was a teenager but it was crushed after I tried to buy it a bunch of times the motor was gone but it was all there and wing the nose was smashed I wish I could have gotten that one that was 35 years ago they scrapped all the cars 5 57 chevys 8 chargers alot of chevelles mustangs gtos 59 cadillac it was a crime to me
Unless you have a customer loyalty / car issue involved. Let them total it, as long as they pay the full value. The customer or you can buy it back. Then rebuild the car and title. The rebuilt title may scare future owners but even if it isn't totaled, the extensive damage will still be discovered. At least that the way we did it decades ago. We actually knew a few crooked adjusters who would total bikes from scared owners who didnt want to risk death anymore. Then we would get them cheap thru him and the Ins. co.
Shit I live in north east Houston Texas and we have a guy with a collision shop name Alfredo Reyes and his shop is called Reyes collision and it's the most professional and timely shop I know. They have a passion for Ford's and especially mustangs and classic muscle cars. They do all our families work and all of an ac company located close by fleet repair. Can't say enough nice things about Juan and Alfredo Reyes.
I had a 343 Javelin 1969 gray with red side walls. On Friday nights going through coverington Virginia. He would be at the gas station at the edge of town. He would jump in behind me, it was on on hat road to the woodline. One night he pulled up beside me, we ran out of road. I often wonder what happened to the driver.
A comment above yours said that the owner was seuing them because of how shit a job it was, thing looks awful. Looked up some more in depth pictures and I don't even a mother could love it.😂
This ep is at least 10 years old - Daren and Josh left in 2014 fwir. I miss Royal and Dave Rea but nothing stays the same forever and Royal earned his retirement. I hope the show lasts another 10 years - a rarity in the world of reality TV but here's hoping.
There is no way I would ever watch this show from week to week. On youtube I can fast forward to the parts I want to see and leave all of the childish behavior on the cutting room floor.
That guy would get told to go fuck his hat if he told me he was going to take parts off my personal vehicle for a customer's car. Deadline isn't my problem. Parts should have been inspected prior to absolute last minute. It's a different story if I had the manifold sitting on the bench, but by the sounds of it, this guy has the manifold already on the engine with the exhaust hooked up to it.
my 70 cuda got totaled a red light driver in a 55mph zone.. it wouldve been 10k in repairs. At the time i only paid 5k for it but just wasnt worth paying.
Remember this insurance will total out even a mint condition modern car just because airbags went off. As in my co worker had a tire blow it moved the car enough to set off the airbags. Even though well nothing was wrong with said vehicle.
Airbag systems are difficult to repair because they're impossible to test, ask any autobody insurance provider about that aggressive litigation. Airbag deployment also destroys the airbag system itself, requiring replacement of multiple sensors, modules, devices, and sometimes harnesses. Replacement of the airbag system requires R&I of many expensive and sometimes unavailable trim pieces, many are noted as being single-use and/or use expensive fasteners that break on removal. If the airbags ever deploy, that classifies as a "catastrophic problem with the vehicle"
i don't know why, not a painter just a technician but i have never seen a paint both with an overhead hose system and a "upsidedown" paint gun just seems simple feed paint from the bottom hose comes from the top and is always out of your way.
Darren's a B!!! Yeah Mark's a little arrogant but that's probably really magnified to make a show. Seems like a pretty good guy over all and his biggest accomplishment is his beautiful daughter ❤ 😍 I like the episodes with her more than the cars ain't gonna lie lol
