Inspired by the original hit Swedish novel and film, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN centers on Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez) whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. I never expect much from an adaptation, but this show came out surprisingly good! The acting, the characters and story are all nicely set! ❤

(1) The main moral dilemma is presented and ignored -- how far do you go to help a child? How many people will you string up and bleed out like cattle for you kids? (2) There are multiple "bad guys" in this show, all are whit e except Mark Kane -- a very Spanish looking Mexican with a gringo name and mad kitchen skills. (3) This series flirts with but ignores the most interesting part of this story -- the nature of the vampires themselves. It is touches on this three times but quickly moves on. (4) the writers make us sympathetic for the dad, Mark, who is a mass murder - a cold, calculating murderer. Zeke is also made a simpering, weak, "accessory after the fact" destroying his role as a successful business man of color. Yes, the production values are there and the scripts are fairly coherent except as mentioned above. Overall a major disappointment which shrugs off what made the movie SO good.

When mark asked if Isaiah was her boyfriend I'm like damn shame they aren't just a little bit older like maybe 14 or so. But love how the feelings of both kids is growing in the show it's really great. When she called Isaiah her best friend I'm like yes awesome but boyfriend uh like I said a little bit older. Eleanor is a wonderful friend to Isaiah the lonely kid will eventually meet a good friend sooner or later.

Yeah, but it's made clear how they both feel about each other lol And Eleanor did lie to Mark about it😉 Honestly, I think Eleanor didn't expect to like Isaiah as much as she did. So I'm sure she was very surprise.

@@shadowspidey7327 well I think we all know she was going to tell him eventually. Until she had no choice. Not to mention Mark in EP8 was kinda a "dick" when he told her Isaiah didn't know what she was. Implying he would not like her, because she's a vampire?
