I completely agree with you on your final points. Thinking of your spirit body as being separate is like forgetting your friend exists, just because they are standing in another room. Thinking the room they are standing in is somehow better than the room your body self is standing in is not only unhealthy, it is rather puerile, like a baby forgetting the parent is there if they put a blanket over their head. There is no "other room." There is no separation. A sage once said "Heaven is within you," and although I don't identify at all with the religion invented around that particular sage, I do agree with that.
margaretwhitmer2715... I am convinced that sage would not approve of the religion that has since been created around him either. It is far from what he taught.
Truth is truth. All these speakers of their own reality and analysis as large scale religions ignores truth and wisdom travel, is amorphous, and transcends. That sage was repeating world wisdom. They may couch it in their own reality or perspective but that doesn't make it theirs or damages the truth. We all access truth and the light and should share it as we see fit.
So due to your accent (which I adore), I misheard “denser” as “dancer” when referring to the physical body, and I just thought that was so poetic and beautiful.
You walk a fine line between darkness and light in the shadow realm. Don't stand out too much. Fit it just enough to fly under the radar. Haters gotta hate and thats all most people have is hate. There's much to learn in a very short time so you can't get bogged down with others. You have a job or mission to perform.
@@GM-nq4hb your very welcome! I have a black blue nose pit bull that I am just as close with..I always tell her how beautiful of a princess she is and she smiles and I can see how much she loves hearing that by the twinkle in her eyes.. I can see that same twinkle in your friends eyes..
I am from traveller community. We have often been accused of witchcraft whereas really we mostly just have herbal knowledge and are poor/visibly different. It informs my work as a makeup artist. Personally I try to avoid real witchcraft as much as possible but some of us, like my son, do have foresight.
I'm sorry, but I need to do this... 🎵🎶Carry on my wayward son There'll be peace when you are done Lay your weary head to rest Don't you cry no more 🎶🎵 (That's not to say that you don't have to express your feelings and emotions, far from that, everyone needs to do that, and even if it's sometimes unsettling to feel raw and vulnerable, there's always something good coming for us from that. Wish you the best) Great video, Arith. You were able to pinpoint exactly my iffiness with Wicca. It's always nice to see someone exploring this reality in a similar way as I am...there's still so much to learn, and to understand, and so many things we need to unlearn and destructurate in order to truly find ourselves...it's sometimes a hard journey, but an elating one too... And, by the way, you turned me in a newt...I got better! Kramar från Italien 😊
16:56 walking the hedge. I look at things from a very practical viewpoint and in my opinion the witch of by gone year's might be needed to be on the fringe of the community in order to not receive too many visitors who might interrupt her work. She might need to tend her herb gardens and no doubt would be growing her own food, let alone be ministering to those who need her services. Her client's might’ve prefered anonymity and perhapsappreciated her slight distance from the greater community. She might not have liked people to see her paths to forage for wild herbs. Those patches would likely have been protected by secrecy lest they be plundered by others. There are so many possible reasons why the witch might’ve prefered to live on the fringe of society. Privacy would also have been a consideration so as to avoid being discovered performing certain practices.
The witch has made herself a vessel to dark entities to enter her human body which is a luxurious experience for the entity. At any time unbeknownst to her it visits and it’s quite alarming to others who speak on it when seen oh yea that her safe space. The witch becomes like an abandon house any can enter and you never know who is coming.
Wow.. that is profound for my life and also how I witnessed my grandmother and her journey in life that I knew.. you just described it perfectly and I find myself now and 41 .. a very strong pull for exactly this.. and it suits me ❤️
I have had Out of Body Travel " Spirit Flight" for over 35 years. I do it in my sleeping time, no drugs. It happens very early in the morning. I can't make it happen, but it will come in cycles. I do have contact with entities, some are good and some are silent, others feel very trickster like. I float out into my garden out my window, or I have also shot through my ceiling ,and I have rolled through my wall to the front of my house. It is so fascinating and has really opened my mind to so much. Thank you so much for all that you share
First, I would like to thank you for your channel, Gratitude. Second, I would like to say I was born into a family of "Others" and have always been, "The Other". Certain singular words lead me to this channel and now at 45 years old, one understands fully why. Recently I stumbled onto the word fetch. My mother and grandmother had one, not sure if it's one single being who is with us all or if we have our own. My own did not start showing itself (Always during the day and usually at a mall) until I turned 13. I have even had double fetches, together, different ages. They are also known as the Vardøger. I am very greatful for this video, it helped greatly. I do not feel so wyrd and strange, or far removed. Again Thank you haha I will be a longtime watcher of this channel.
I was born with an extra thumb . It was.removed with a surgical saw when I was three months old . The doctor did not believe that infants had a fully developed nervous system so no anesthetic was used . There was never a.time that I did not know.i was.a witch .
I was born with a lump in between my eyes it disappeared at age 4. It was located were they say the 3rd eye is. My mom said she thought I was born with 3 physical eyes. The doctor said it was fluid.🤷♀️ my dreams I travel to many places and remember all my dreams.
I really like this type of video you have been making. The more formal ones are still great, but to follow your intuition and speak it’s truth is so very powerful. Keep listening to it. Bountiful Blessings!
One's "truth" is another way of saying 'my opinion'. There cannot be multiple forms of truth because truth is based on facts. Unfortunately, this word has been polluted by people saying "living my truth" and "speaking my truth" . It makes no logical sense.
@@ASMRyouVEGANyet there absolutely can be multiple truths about something. The same situation may be perceived in two different ways, causing different reactions but they're both true. A 6 can be a 9 depending on what side you're standing on
There are still "trad" witches and "natural" witches who don't study books or other traditions. Most, if not all, cultures were tribal with "coming of age" ceremonies/rituals where you received a vision for your life. A shaman or kunta may help interpretation via questions that triggered our own understanding, however one was not considered an adult with all it's priviledges if one was not a self determined practicing "witch". It was "civilization" that brought about the delegation of individual responsibilities to "experts". So, yes, spiritual self is not naturally separate from physical self. The marks are true and real. When I "travel" in a way that leaves a significant impression on my soul because I gained deeper understanding, I will feel a mild pain, look and will have a new mark or mole. It's "expansion" reflected by the expansion of flesh. "As above/physical, so below/within/spiritual"😉 We don't form intent then "cast a spell". We feel it come up within us and then give it expression in the physical so that it is "birthed" or "born" into the physical, grounded, takes root and then affects.
True, I have been practicing witchcraft since I was 6yrs old. I live in a VERY remote place (Appalachian mountains) and it was just the way I lived my life.❤
Some of us are natural born. We don't need to call on entities or gods to work. We dot need to be taught because we just are. I think that's the real difference is that everyone who follows claims to be such but they do not have the innate natural born ability and they work with things they were not born to. It doesn't matter though. The natural order always prevails.
I am someone who has natural abilities with what you could call “shamanic gifts”. I have recently learned how to project my awareness into an animal form because “traveling” more often with my spirit body has begun to cause me intense fatigue after a journey. Using the animal form, I can send it out without having all the tiredness of returning to my physical body
The strongest dreams I've had during the course of life have had animals present, and in many of them I was the animal. Usually I don't remember dreams, but when there was an animal in them I do. I've never astral projected though (consciously). Why do you think the animal form prevents you from feeling fatigue?
Long time lurker, first time commenting 😂 I wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU for all of your offerings on YT! Additionally, this video and the perspectives shared were not only enlightening, but the clarity given was needed and sought for so long. You didn’t speak in absolutes, yet the light came on and I’m now able to wrap my mind around a concept that has long eluded me. Cheers to forward movement and new experiences, my friend. The mind, once stretched by a new idea, never returns to its original dimensions. Ralph Waldo Emerson
Bro, there's no way you let yourself down. We won't. You're a valuable human, incredibly mindful and clever, not to mention cultivated, when I say clever I also mean with good values, it goes together. I'm not the kind who sends flowers for nothing, not a people pleaser, that's what I think. It's free because it's true. I'm sure many will agree. We all like you sharing all that knowledge you dug out, humbly (very important to me this last point) therefore, hang on bro 🫂💞
You are very kind. Thank you for taking the time to write this to me. Means a lot, it truly does. It's important to me to know people appreciate what I do. This year has been rather heavy, emotionally draining. At the same time it was an eye-opener. Thank you friend, be well and many blessings to you and yours!
30:12 there is more to astral travel than simply experience. I taught myself to do this as a young teen. I didn't have any rules so I explored without inhibitions. I learned so much from the beings I encountered, from the things we did together, the mental boundaries I pushed, and the discovery that time is irrelevant while astral travelling, or whatever you want to call it.
Life will sometimes throw you a curve ball. And we have to move through it. As long as we keep moving through it and not set up a house there. Keep moving. And thank you for all the work you do. You truly have a deep understanding of witches.
Its not that "some people" are shamans. Its that all shamans are people who embodied the spirit of the wounded healer. You can do that too, its not a question of sensitivity or intellect.
Hi 👋 I'm really interested in what you are saying. Could you tell me a little more or share your fav sources I would so appreciate it. :) Please and thank you 🙏
Thank you Arith, despite the fact that you are going through a difficult time you are still able to share a very interesting video , much appreciated . Take care dear friend.
Greetings from the Texas Gulf Coast, USA. Thank you for being so honest with us. I appreciate your efforts to carry on after Life bashes you. Head up, my Friend. You make a difference.
I especially love the analogy of the dancer and how it is a physical form that I'm able to perceive. It's so physical, a synchronicity of the calling, if we're open and aware of it and especially of the many ways we can be in physical form and spirit in this lifetime. Thank you for your insight. I see and know and I'm glad to have seen this video tonight. Thank so much, namaste my friend.
We love you and you don't know how important you are to so many of us weirdos around the world. It would seriously bring me down if your videos (you) weren't in my life anymore.
I am so glad you are here Arith. I can't describe without getting perhaps inappropriately mushy - that i look so forward to your videos. I've had so much go wrong in my life and struggle not to give up. It's so hard because most people do ---i would never have you stay and do these if it wasn't a benefit to you. Thankyou so much - i have something to look forward to each week listening to someone intelligent - 😸 and i wish all wellness in the ways you need. I love what you said about the 'other bodies' - i have had thoughts like that and dismissed them; but i have had experiences that did tell me otherwise . learning to trust my acquired knowledge might be an idea hmmmmmm?
My dear friend, I'm happy to know you are still there. Sometimes I wonder what's the purpose of so many struggles in life. There may be a lot of ideas to try to answer that, but at the end of the day it seems to have been a lot of hurt when all we want is peace and to have a pleasant life. Some people say it makes us tougher, but tougher for what exactly?! To be more resilient when more hurt comes along? Don't get it why life is full of struggles. I don't want to be tough, I want to be happy and just enjoy my existence lol. Some may say we return to this world to solve things we didn't solve before. But if we don't remember what was left unsolved, how can we prosper? But still we carry on and evolve. I've come to realize, we, human beings, are one of the very few species that has the power to make friends with almost every living being (for goodness sake, there's people who pet sharks and crocodiles and other very dangerous animals, and the animals actually like it and become friends with human-persons), and to interact and create so many relationships, and we also have the capacity to create harmonious habitats. Not to mention we have the power of choosing not to hurt, not to kill, not to hunt, not to make war, because we know what's the most harmonious way to live life and let others live, because we have found many ways to avoid cruelty. We have the power to come to beneficial agreements to avoid hurt, pain, sorrow and death, and to minimize the harmful effects that naturally exist in the world. It seems we, humans, are here to bring compassion and love. Yet many choose the exact opposite and break every attempt to create harmony. Such wonderful capacities that lie in all of us, yet we let illusions such as greed and competition get in the way of what seems to have been a true human purpose, which is to bring empathy. But there's always hope. Good will overcome, trust in that :D Be well my dear friend, and many blessings to you!
@@ArithHärger Thankyou so much for your words, i could not agree more and i think that is why i am so sad now , because my own problems are mine. I don't want to be tougher, i don't like the way i have become by having to fight for my rights so much.I can actually cope with alot of physical pain and limitations and still be happy or content. i want to be the loving thing that's hiding inside right now. Seeing so much destruction and harm to the trees, and animals just un-does me. And it is folks like you that help me keep working to not let the negative win; and destroy even more.
and ... later i 'm watching this again to absorb. you say at one point a person cannot become a shaman, do i take it to mean that you think people ar e born to it. Leading in to my next question i would love your opinion. Reading education 'the well read witch" I found the reading was , a distraction - other peoples ideas could be useful but i was much better off listening to nature, watching things in the way that is natural. i have had so many people call me a witch or ask me if i am one - i would have to say more than not. But i don't wear special jewelry or wear all black . . . .So, am i natural to it. Or should the term of being a witch belong to those that practice a set of 'studied' rules or methods for lack of a better what to put it. By the way i've never claimed to be one ; but i don't disregard the opinion of that perception from those who think i am and ask in interest. Am i an outcast - absolutely without a doubt. Some of the abilities i have had that helped me cope - i'd love those back. what you are talking about beyond form and different bodies, i have a personal understanding and experiences of that - but was not taught.
I am trying to be more intuitive in trying to cope with everything, I guess its a form of letting go of doing or feeling whats expected of me. Whatever you are going through now, you know that what you feel right now will change into something else, its your choice to make it into something you can deal with, i do believe in you, i have seen many facetts of you in the videos you have posted over the years, let your dreams continue and thank you, as always, for making my Arith Video days a little brighter😊
It's incredible how we get bogged down with the labels... thank you for this work, I have been recommending your work on my channel. Greetings from an "unmarked Shaman" and many other things 😊
I think my initiation (first contact with "other" being) was a warm, pink, sweet-smelling, loving cloud that comforted me when I was 3 years old and my mother left me in the driveway because I didn't tie my shoes fast enough.
I dont comment very often, but have been with you here, for quite a while. I always find your video's enlightening, compassionate and intelligent. I thank you Arith, so very much.
For a Devine reason you have appeared to help me on my journey,My grandmother was a Shaman / medicine woman & I was born with a veil . I thirst for knowledge to use my gifts properly ✨🙏I have flown as a Pheonix over a beautiful canyon 🔥The breeze through my feathers was other worldly ✨
Witchcraft is an interesting lifestyle for sure. It is one that will make you into a forever student really quick. But it is totally worth exploring it to its fullness for sure.
i'm back again - watching and listening. The year is not getting easier and there's more to come; the troubles will bleed into the coming year. Being out side at night with the trees and foxes etc keeps me going; and recently i was visited by an owl. It's been a few years since i have had an owl visit me in this world. . . and brought me to remember the other times; as such that the native people here fear me as an Owl person. Becuase it is of the other world. This gives me comfort to know that strong enought now to walk with that again. (by the way i didn't mean to imply that i enjoy people fear; it is the owl medicine they fear)
Many many thanks for this presentation... always an inspiration. So much to think about! Signs and language have an intrinsically normalising function... only the most common, ''standardised'' experiences can be easily shared in language. This creates a problem common to the shaman, the visionary, even the monotheistic mystics... if one has an experience which does not conform to the norms of shared language, how can it be communicated? - Even communicated to ''ones self''? Thus language, wonderful though it is, necessarily has an element of falsification to it... some gross approximations which do not capture the ''reality''.... a bit like trying to give somebody who has never encountered an orange an impression of what an orange is, but using only red and yellow Lego bricks. Even when a clonky shape and size and (almost) the right colour can be assembled, the scent and taste can not. And not only communication between persons is at issue - this crude approximation happens ''intermally'' too when our conscious mind tries to make sense of far-from-normal sensory encounters. As you rightly say at 23 mins, we end up fretting at the edge of language with words like ''spirit'' and ''body'' and speculate if they two separate realms (Descartes), or if one of them is the only reality and the other is illusory (Buddhism, Gnosticism etc) , or if spirit is a volatilisation of matter (Nietzsche, Land), or both are aspects of the infinite (Spinoza) and so forth... all of which takes us nowhere because it directs back into the heart of language and thus ''away from the experience of extraordinary realities''. The strength of society's repression of ''witchcraft' - and later the criminalisation of psychedlic experiences - is a testament to how much the possibility of living an '' Other' life is feared. Once again, many thanks for all your thought provoking material! Much appreciated!
I kinda like this format, it is a little more intimate, somehow calmer and at a more gentle pace. Don"t get me wrong, your enthusiasm & quirky presentations are definitely enjoyable as well as informative of course. I enjoyed the way this format allows for some of your own insights and how this then opens up conversation. Thanks for just being you and sharing this with us. We feel like we are on this journey with you because you still show up, even when the flow of life in interrupted somehow. And you don't pretend it's otherwise. Such authenticity. probs another reason your channel is so popular. layers of the self, layers of our being, the journey continues...
Just read your comment. I don't know exactly what to say because your words have moved me. Thank you very much for such kind words and to let me know your feelings about what I do and my own person. Lately I'm feeling quite sensitive. Thank you for taking the time to say this to me. Be well! Best of luck!

Relating colours with "powers". interesting from a psychological aspect. Regarding shaman? spirit flight. There are many mainstream psychological answers to this.

I wish you the very best, too. Thank you for this video. It's easy to get bogged-down by the prevailing belief systems, and this video helped me feel centered again. Thank you.
this was good- just found you today and subscribed! i love how you described the spirit body and how spirit helpers will come to help the witch initiate...i'm a working psychic and have been heavily isolated since last year and more isolated in general since my gifts kicked in..this helped me feel better about it as i worried something was wrong with me
Cant always watch all the videos on the channel, but I try to do my best hahaha. They are always really insightful and helps with the development of new thoughts and perspectives in my life, for that I am eternally greatful. Sending much love your way!
I've heard a lot of theories about "shadow people" one of my favorites is just that, since entities from elsewhere don't fit our daily expectations our brain edits them out.
@@BriarCottageI've seen them to. When I was younger, I mostly didn't, as in I could see their effects on the environment but not them. As an adult I've seen them both as a solid void like a man painted in vanta black, also some a little more diffuse around the edges. I wouldn't say it's a common thing though
Instead of thinking about bodies I like to think in terms of vibration. I see the world like an ocean of vibration and the living creatures, including us humans, are the waves in that ocean. We are all part of the same body of spirit and communicating with other creatures that are different vibrational density in instances of relaxed states of body is normal, when we reach higher vibration. It is proven that our human senses cannot perceive the full spectrum of sound and light that exist, so maybe we perceive not only with our eyes, but trough our energy. And that's why these entities are often perceived formless or with different form for every human that perceives them- because our brains are interpreting the information differently due to the different life experience and programming.
Could tell as soon as you started to speak that you're going through something, I hope it begins to pass shortly. If that's an appropriate thing to say. Take care of yourself and never forget how healing nature is 💚
In Ancient Kemet it is taught that the physical anything is different densities of spiritual being. This is indicated and explained through the concept of the manifold self, the knowledge that the meta or divine aspects combine and/or interact and that interplay is what results in the experience of physical reality.
I'm sure someone one day will do a contrastive analysis of all the indigenous traditions of worship, magic etc to catalogue the meta-patterns implicit in them, & also the differences. Do I see the Taschen "Witchraft" book behind you? Quantum phenomena such as tunneling, superposition & entanglement point to the real possibility of the existence of a hyperdimensional reality allowable within the Physicalist paradigm.
You are such an eloquent speaker, Sir. I find an incredible amount of peace and fascination watching your videos. You’re an amazing man. Thank for sharing your knowledge and perspective with the world.
I am so glad you made this video and glad I had opportunity to watch! In my own practices, dreams are very important. They can tell what is to come, lead to the spirit realms where often battles ensue, and also allow for visiting others. There is a thing in which such a traveler leaves original body and visits within another's body. In such an experience, the visitor can be an unobserved passenger or an active participant in the goings on.
the difference between Shamans and witches is that Shamans have healed their wounds and use their powers to heal, whereas witches do the opposite. Not a popular view, but this was the traditional understanding, according to Shamanism and Tantra in the Himalayas, Ratsch et al. Becoming a Shaman requires spiritual death and rebirth.
Thank you for all you do. I have been following you for awhile now. And you definitely have helped me along my path of being a pagan/witch. I love that you cover more of the traditional witchcraft path as there are not that many that seem to cover it. Most people on here just cover the generic Wicca beliefs and rituals. I personally lean more toward the Norse and Celtic traditions. But I am also deeply interested in elemental/simple magick as well. My first introduction to it was through Scott Cunningham's earth, air, fire, water and earth power books. As well as studying shamanism since I was a teenager. I am 35 now so I have been studying for 20 years. But yeah keep up the great work. Your videos rock.
This reminds me of the old multicultural myths of the “lame blacksmith”. So many cultures have a well-known myth of a blacksmith (who created in a way that must surely have been deeply “magical”, especially early on) who is lame, physically “imperfect” or othered in some way.
Thanks for this video. Here is a snippet I deleted from a comment to another video I hope you might enjoy reading as I’d like to support your ability to contribute to your channel with lucrative soul; this I hope might tide you over:”Source? Like life? Do you mean detachment through death? That scary ephemeral juxtaposition between lifetimes? Or do you mean abandonment during life? Immersion in the natural environment can allow less suffering during the reconnect? I’m so confused right now. My consciousness is like that of a dog when near source and all it’s super conscious fun loving angelics. At least in life I have an intellect/healthy ego to keep me company. Being the source of all love is always a fleeting glimpse. There has never been, nor never will be any permanence to it. Corporeal life is where it’s at. Nothing compares. Enjoy what you can of it less it be stolen from you. Be love when and where you can.” Thanks again Arith~
Hello there! It's an interesting social phenomenon the fact that people went from believing in anything that was told to them, to ask for sources on anything, especially on modes of life that have no source whatsoever because life is simply experienced and lived. But I do get that feeling, of course. We have been constantly lied to, and we still are. But there must be a racional thought on all of this. There's certainly plenty of things in life that can be studied and explained, and as such we must present sources if we are genuinely interested in telling the truth and pass on information. However, much of what constitutes human-experience, especially of mind and thought, can hardly be presented with sources. In fact, there are sources, but many of which are people's testimonies which are often frowned upon or immediately discarded by people who simply project their own perception of life as to be the only possible human reality. This reminds me, in a way, of how Sigmund Freud viewed animism, and he presented sources to explain how childish and immature "animism" was, a complete fantasy, according to his own view of perception and not having direct contact with animistic modes of life and animistic populations. Yet, new studies have been made, and indigenous populations progressively contribute to these studies, giving wonderful insights, and we now know that Sigmund Freud not only was wrong, but he spoke from a position of complete ignorance towards animism. Thank you for your comment friend.
@@ArithHärger Sigmund Freud was the FIRST psychoanalyst to map the topological model of the human psyche. So he was not wrong. And you have no evidence to suggest as such.
