Noong kabataan ko late 60's early 70's was a time of abundance in Bohol in terms of fish and sea foods. Mga isda, crabs etc. very plentiful in all coastal barrios. The smalltime fishermen, the market and the street fish vendors used to wear patched up and worn out clothes. They were barely coping up to live. Ang expensive noon ay meat at saka canned foods. So a can of sardines and salmon is a delicacy for us. Pork, beef and chicken are also rare unless you raise your own animal for meat. But what was expensive back then ay hindi naman talaga mahal, napakababa lang ang buying capacity ng mga tao. Sweldo ng teacher noon 150 pesos lang at ang house maid 40 pesos lang. Kapos kami sa pera noon pero sa isda sobrang sobra dami except lang kung malaki ang buwan or bagyo walang huli.
Wow! Ngaun po presyong dolyares na ang mga isda sa Bohol, ang mahal na po. Ang sweldo ganun parin ang mga prime commodities ang mamahal, mapapa Juskolord ka nalang 😂😂
