I love how confident dale is. He just walks in to any situation and gets on with things. He's not scared or intimidated. At the end he just walks in and orders, goes to sit down next to some people he doesn't know and then ends up chatting to them. I guess that's why he's such a good vlogger, he does things I certainly wouldn't, but by doing so he has such amazing experiences. The confidence also pays off when haggling for stuff.
@@gargeebasak9648 That's a good thing since you get to improve your social skills (bargaining) and interact with people unlike the lonely people in Western countries.
India is very beautiful country.....around in this country many prominent people was there not was there are still...but nowadays some people thought is very disgusting. Sorry for that
Man! The way you entered and made space for you in that crowded restaurant at the end. I would have stayed out only untill a whole table is not empty 🤣 You are so comfortable and with full of confidence in every situation. Kepp it up 🙏🏻
The great thing about travel videos like this is that you finish up learning so much about people from different cultures. You see how they really are, how they speak, how they behave, their attitude to other people and so on. So now, I feel I have really learnt a lot about Glaswegian culture.
I am from sri lanka, love to see my brother india, all i can see is, india has much less scammers compair to sri lanka, they directly says a fair price to tourists, lots of respect for that❤️, indians always nice active cooler than us😊
@@SamanthaTollstam not really as per their reaction I'm pretty sure they was confused or they just passing by and seeing those watches but not any intention with achieving or buying it
One of the very few vloggers with HONEST and "It is what it is, no sugarcoat" content. Being an Indian, I can confidently say, you showcase the real India Dale (good as well as bad) and that is why you are my favourite RU-vidr because I love freaking reality and thats what you have on offer.
You did bargaining in the famous "NEW MARKET" area in Kolkata. Being a citizen of Kolkata I have bargained countless times in various markets but this place is exceptional. Hats off to you man😁
I like his style of video, I like the amateur and rawness of his videos. Most travel vloggers today are more worried about drone shots and slow motion fancy camera angles. They end up looking more like a music video. I’d love to see more Indonesia videos, they rocked!
I agree 100%. The most interesting thing in these videos are the people living in each city, I love the interactions. I feel like I'm learning things with him. Some negative, some positive.
Hey Dale, it was seriously great watching you visit Kolkata my hometown and bargaining through the entire market. It was also wonderful to inculcate more about the place and helped me to know my roots better.
Of all the vloggers out there ..I find Dale vlogging the best...so authentic...other vloggers have too much facetime... being an Indian i myself feel it's so crowded..not sure how Dale has managed to do great vlog inspite of madness
I just love how he say “no” to the people who’s trying to scam him with hight price like food/clothes and stuff even tho they think he’s tourist and its easy to scam him. GREAT JOB DALE😂😂
Dale could very easily pass as a sports commentator. I think his commenting style is one of the things that makes his vlogs so entertaining and informative at the same time.
Dale has developed advanced tactics in avoiding shopowners; Two guys tries to get his attention at the same time, Dale counters it by pretending being interested in one of the shops, but quickly says "Nothing for me" then continues walking without even having to say a word to the second shop. Brilliant display of skills Dale!
I'm Italian-american and the same thing happens to me when I go to Italy because they know that I'm a foreigner. I understand and speak Italian. One time while I was there in Naples, I wanted to purchase fruit from a street vendor (now I didn't know that the customer is not supposed to pick their own fruit because here in America at the supermarket you can pick your own fruit). So I started to pick the fruit that I wanted. The vendor starts screaming and insulting me in Italian saying "don't touch, don't touch". Then the insult she said in Italian was "you Americans are all alike". So I answered her back in Italian. I said "Madam, during world war two, if it wasn't for the the Americans you would have been starving". She was shocked that I understood and speak the language without an American accent. Then she said d "you understand what I said?" I said "I understood clearly what you said". Then she was trying to be nice and sell me the fruit and I said no. I threw it at her and walked away.
Panipuri is called Phuchka in Bengal. Also, it is supposed to be cold rather than the hot ones of Mumbai. We also have a tamarind water instead of mint water.
@@Sammy58328 right bro... It's just for fun... We need not learn other languages at all... Indian languages have lot of history and technicality behind them... Our languages our pride... We are simply joking
Ingin rasa nya jalan jalan ke india seperti anda dale dan melakukan tawar menawar barang yang asyik sekali, salam kenal dari Indonesia, silahkan bikin vlog di Indonesia dale
I’m indian origin but born in U.K. But one thing you are guaranteed in India whenever I go over there is a total unadulterated assault on all your senses! If you’re a little tired or lethargic but then you hit the streets suddenly your automatically switched on as it’s just hits you from all angles! Love it! Great video mate!
When most Indian 🇮🇳 people are asked this question Who’s your favourite Scotsman 🏴 🇬🇧 ? Many of them will answer :- Gordon Ramsay ( famous 🇬🇧 🏴 Michelin Star celebrity master chef 👨🏼🍳👨🏼🍳👨🏼🍳) or Sir Alex Ferguson ( the legendary Scotsman 🏴 🇬🇧 who revolutionised English football ⚽️ by managing Manchester United ) but if I’m asked the same question on who my favourite Scotsman is my answer will be Dillion THE MAN WITH HIS STRONG LEGS 💪🏼💪🏼🦵🏻🦵🏻🔥🔥 🏴 🏴. My mom visited Scotland 🏴 few years ago and she got me the famous Walkers Shortbread fingers ( butter biscuits 🍪 ) and I immediately fell in love with them after eaten it . I love it so much that I’ve ordered it from abroad and stocked it up in my house . Love your content bro and keep on entertaining us with these amazing travel vlogs of my country . Cheers from New Delhi
Most Honest and Friendliest people you can find in Kolkata. And its the cheapest and bestest place in all over India I can Assure you... Plz come and visit here soon Dale Sir ❤️❤️❤️love from Kolkata
@@verseddd7003 I meant we were taught in like our Nursery days to reply to "How are you?" to "I am fine". So almost every Indian replies "I am fine" instead of like "I am well", "Good" etc I am an Indian too. Do we learn English at all???? Bro, India is the 2nd most English speaking country in the world. What's ur problem?
@@naoboyz8259 sorry man over here in america we dont learn about other countries, america thinks we are the only country and we dont learn about other countries. sorry if i offended you!
@@naoboyz8259 yes man yes funny thing that is literally what i have been watching for the past weeks. Dale exploring and his expiriences, and i am slowly learning. I am still a teenager so i can't travel alot yet haha.
Brilliant vid m8. You are getting braver and braver lol. I wouldn't be able to handle all the noise and commotion. I love to watch it and dream of going haha, but I don't think I ever will. India and the poeple, fascinating. Such a rich history. It's one of my favourite places to watch in travel videos. Cheers pal.
Crossing the Indian roads.. Driving on Indian roads.. Bargaining like an Indian.. Getting habituated to delicious Indian vegetarian food.. Knowing Indian hospitality and spirituality.... Adapting to noise levels and getting habituated to travelling among massive crowds.. are a kind of life lessons for Westerners 😅 for being patient too Living like an Indian is ❤️😅 Bcoz India is an emotion...❤️
Those two kids who pitely declined Dale's offer to buy watches for them were really adorable and well mannered, considering that kids sometime can be very naughty and nasty at times too hahaha. You can tell their parents raised them pretty well even if they might be grown up poor. The little one was too adorable reminds me of my younger brother when we were of their age. It's really wholesome of Dale to offer them to buy watch for that kid.
I understand what you mean. I spent a few weeks in Kolkata next to his hotel. Quite an experience. It was in the middle of the market. I couldn't believe the tranquility of home and that people were not staring at me anymore. 😅
Even asians. Visiting india. They stare. Like us asians we stare when we see a different nationality.different person. Wondering. How on earth why this guy got here and why this guy like it here. ?
21:30 your road crossing is insane.. Wait for the crossing light.. And do follow some poeple when cross the road. I am from kolkata Buddy every time pulling hand on road is not works.. Dont do that ..
Never use your hand to try and make the cars slow or stop for you. Thats not how it works unfortunately. You must observe and maneuver. You could have easily got yourself killed. Pedestrians are not considered having the right of way on streets like in the west. Be careful
In England/Scotland the striped crossings are called a zebra crossing. If you do not stop for people crossing you can get a ticket & people know to stop. Very different in other countries though 😏
Hi Dale, loving your videos. It's good to see you here in Kolkata enjoying. Couple of things to let you know once you are here next time -Do check-in some other 5 star hotels this time - JW Marriott, Westin, Novotel, etc. Oberoi Grand is also good. And when you are crossing the roads, see the traffic lights. Basically, you were trying to cross when the signal was green which means cars will fast pass by even if passengers are on the road. You are not supposed to cross when light is green. You were in New Market, Esplanade. This area is highly crowded on a daily basis. The real Kolkata is much peaceful n lots of cultural places to explore. Let us know next time when you are visiting. And that Puchka was nothing, will help you to taste the real Puchka next time. Kolkata is famous for its food, specially Mishti Doi (sweet curd), Pani Puri (puchka) and egg roll.
Hey @Dale. I am from Kolkata, and was really impressed with the way you handled the crowd. It's difficult enough for us. Hope you enjoyed and visit again ☺️
What a nice walk in a very large market. Cozy with many people. The yellow t-shirt suits you really well! I am really looking forward to see your next adventure! Bravo!
Phuchka as they call in Kolkata is supposed to be had cold as in room temperature. Pani puri and phuchka, even though they look similar, differs vastly in the fillings.
