What's funny is I've been studying seo for hours a day and in the one and a half minutes that you explained it was more effective to me than the books, and seminars. I believe you about Social Media. I've been trying to use it to promote my business for a few years, without much result. Direct mail, videos, and targeting highly likely prospects has been what is profitable. Your talk about your ideal client is spot on. Valuable sales training video. You can use this as an elevator speech too.

This is one of the best startup videos that I've seen on marketing. I'd love to talk to you about a biz I'm trying to get off the ground. I'm using my $ to do the pilot. I've run it by several business people who at least have not given it a thumbs down. It seems I'm the prefect person to be doing it but trying to get it out to potential customers is going to kill me.

This was very helpful to me.. only, I'm having a little trouble starting a blog. I don't know how to do that. I am writing a newsletter for the company to promote business, however, I don't know how to start a blog. My other problem is.. I am very shy and don't know how to help "Sell" my business. The company has been in business for the past 9 years and the two owners have recently hired me to build a foundation that they haven't . So... it's like starting over to restructure and pull all of the pieces together to make a stronger business. We have some regular clients... but I feel we could do much better. How do I get started?

David, How do you do this when you are limited to military base and limited regulations. I have a photography business. And it seems every other military wife with an iPhone is one. How do set myself apart from that! (As I do have a BA+). And building a clientele is hard when you move every 3 to 4 years!
