Cheers Bud - yeah I have been down a few times since this vid...just on the bike, sometimes this bothy is a riot which is a shame because it's a great wee location even with the oil depot across the water. Thanks for watching and commenting, appreciate it, Dave 👍👍
What a nice wee hike and bothy mate. The old drone shots are coming along well. Lol disco ball and lust for life, brilliant. Nice mackerel for your T Lovely 😍.
Thanks Graeme, yes a ton of history attached to this wee bothy that I never even touched on - I have been dabbling in and out some of your beach adventures, they look great, I need to get further north but do have a trip planned to Uisken beach on Mull soon. 👍👍
Gonna have to get you to say "Irn-Bru 32, pure mental stimulation in a can" 🤣 Gonna cycle round this in 2 weeks. Not be hitting the bothy (well tent it 🤫 ) and gonna attempt to join the two roads roads up at the south. Cycle up from Balloch
Hi bud - I have the GPX file for the Ardgarten loop - it's a bit tough,. but a nice cycle on an e-bike, take the bike right up the cycle track from Balloch, the rest and be thankful is a tough pull up but anti-clock is the way to go, the bothy is better and cleaner than it was - if you need any more info shoot me an email - wildlochans@gmail.com...👍👍
Love Pams disco ball 😁 Some more cracking drone footage Dave. 👍 Nice tae see that bothy tidy. Usually one of the ones that folk leave their shite, from pics oan the fbk bothy pages. Nice wee bit o mackerel...Should've stuck it in a wrap. 😉
Hi Kev, Thanks! - the disco ball is a bit of fun, it's only half the size of a golf ball, weighs next to nothing and plugs into any phone. Bothy was in good order though some teenage entries in the book tells you it's not always like that. Mackerel was done grilled, smothered in crushed blaeberries with some asparagus tips and spring onion...🐟👍
Nice wee bothy tour Dave. Visited this earlier in the year and had a lovely wee day enjoying the views of the tankers! Would be a nice wee cycle in. Loving the disco ball! Lust for life! Yes!!! Quite impressive night time views! Something different indeed and a couple of wee fish to finish the trip! Fabby doo! Paul
Aye Paul - it's one of the quieter ones near me, just trying to avoid the midges that are quite brutal at the moment. Aye the the disco ball, I say to Pam "right gather up the important stuff for a trip" She says "right, where's my disco ball" 😁👍
Enjoy your videos. Really good ..Gives me ideas where to head off to next. This is not a complaint as its common to all. Would you consider putting a map of your routes into your video. ?. I know the General area but might be helpful for those who don't. T
Hi Jimbo - it is something I am working on, I do put them on the odd video but not so much the Hill Lochans as technically you are not allowed to fish them without Land Owners permission - if anybody mails me I give them either a map or GPX file to exact location. Thanks for commenting and watching - it's appreciated! ATB, Dave...👍👍
Hi Buddy - no it's quite a wee bit by that - if you are using an online map go to Bing maps and paste this in 56.116211, -4.849666 then switch it to from "Road" to "Ordnance Survey" - it is just called "Mark" 👍👍
Hey mate have you had much luck fishing further up the loch between ardgardtan and coilessan. Planning a wild camping trip and wondered if the fishing is much good in the camping management zone. Any advice greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work mate got yourself a new subscriber in me
Thanks for the sub Colt - I have not fished the CMZ - but have caught Mackerel across the water at Portincaple and off the old Torpedo Pier round by Arrochar and other marks on Loch Long , you should be ok as there are a few rocky areas near the CMZ - if they are in they are in! all the sea lochs are full of them at the moment I would defo take a rod with me if I were you - let us know how you get on and if you get any get them fried up and get a vid up! Cheers, Dave. 🐟🐟🐟👍
