“A dog likes to be looked at in the eye” um no, they actually hate that. I’m currently in college taking animal care, and that’s the one thing they say not to do. Especially if the dog is not comfortable with you, they usually take direct eye contact as a threat.

Was never a pet loving person, still loved the movie. Script was nice and no doubts about how cool both the lead actors looked together. Such a funny scene. I couldn't hold my laughter...watched movie in 2022 on Amazon Prime.
If anything, a rowdy dog is good to have in a training group. It helps the other dogs focus and ignore. Thus if a fight ever broke out, the dogs wouldn't even bat an eye

Family isn't exclusively the ones under 9 years old. It's just a sad fact of life of when dogs grow old, or get too sick to be saved, they pass away. Its ok to let them see it. Let them cry. It's gonna hurt. Life isn't fair and that's just fact. You are not replacing or forgetting your previous dog; you're giving another one a chance to hopefully live a good life, a happy life. Your jealous late dog who doesn't like anybody doesn't get to dictate you getting another animal anymore. You can start clean.
13 years after first watching this movie, I am still unable to control myself after the scene where Marley knocks down the instructor and flunks obedience school.
Me and my Mom saw "Marley & Me" for the first time a few days ago, and We were expecting that Marley would jump and Lick the Lady or Teacher (Whatever you want to call her) but we definitely didn't expect this 1:53 X-D we Laughed so hard watching that.

My first golden labrador was named Molly after "Marley and me". My second labrador is a black lab and he wasnt named after anyone. The thing is both my dogs represent Marley in a way, but one more than the other and non of them would do this XD
Omg I watched this when I was younger and thought marley was just really terrible and couldn't be trained. Now I'm learning about dog training and wow. She's a horrible trainer
