Awesome win for atlanta, once again the offense was great. Rosario with a homer and ozzie with 2, riley, grissom, hilliard also with nice days. Charlie was solid today, little concerns from the bullpen but hopefully everything gets cleaned up. Tomorrows matchup is tough against sandy, hopefully we got this. Let’s go braves #ForTheA

I definitely think they will get the bullpen straightened out and if that is our only concern I'd say we are in great shape.

Notes From the Game: + Charlie Morton was EXCELLENT. 7 Innings of 1-Run, 3-Hit Ball, Walking 2 and Striking Out 9 en route to a Win. Morton Improves to a 3-2 Record with an ERA of 2.76. In his last Two Outings, He's Only Given Up 2 Runs in 13 Innings! - The Bullpen had its Struggles, but Held the Line when it Mattered. It Took Three Pitchers to finish the Final Two Innings, Allowing 3 Runs on 7 Hits, Walking Nobody and Striking Out 2. Better to Struggle now and still Win than to Lose when it Matters. ROTATION TOTAL: 9 Innings, 4 Runs, 10 Hits, 2 Walks, 11 Strike Outs, 2 Home Runs Allowed. Thankfully, Where the Bullpen Stumbled, the Offense Continued to Roll Ahead! + Austin Riley Jump-Started the Offense Early, making his Only Hit of the Night Count: An RBI Single to Bring in Acuna in the 1st. Riley Holds onto a .270/.368/.840 Line through 24 Games this Season! + Vaughn Grissom continues to focus on the Basics, Going 1-4 with an RBI Single in the 4th. Grissom Stands Firm with a .270/.308/.605 Line through 10 Games this Season! + Stay Hot, Sam Hilliard! He also had a 1-4 Night with an RBI Single in the 4th. Hillard Stands in with a .327/.400/.992 Line through 18 Games this Year! + Kevin Pillar Continues to Give it his All, Going 1-4 with an RBI Double in the 4th, Though gave us a SCARE when he Crashed into the Wall in the 9th trying to Make the Catch on what would eventually be an Inside-the-Park Homer by Yuli Gurriel. Pillar clings to a .214/.250/.583 Line through 13 Games This Year! 110% ALL THE WAY! + HAVE A NIGHT, OZ-MAN! A 2-4 Night with TWO SOLO SUPER MISSILES! Albies improves to a .263/.297/.823 Line with 7 Home Runs This Season! + Eddie Rosario Joined Ozzie with the Fireworks Show, Starting the 8th with a SOLO SUPER MISSILE ON THE FIRST PITCH! That would be his Only Hit, as he'd finish 1-3, Though he DID Walk earlier in the Game. Rosario hangs onto a .200/.235/.620 Line with 3 Home Runs on the Year! + OTHER NOTABLES: Ronald Acuna had 2 Hits on the Night, Going 2-4, while Sean Murphy had a 1-4 Night. Despite being the Only 0'fer Starter on the Night, Matt Olson DID Manage Two Walks, Meaning Every Braves Starter reached Base at least ONCE Tonight! + Not the Prettiest Finish by ANY Means, BUT A WIN IS A WIN. Morton Was Impressive, the Offense was Firing on all cylinders, the Defense didn't make any mistakes, and despite the Bullpen Faltering, it Held the Line. Two Wins Straight after losing Four In a Row. Let's keep this Winning thing going! + The Phillies Phailed to Launch against the Mariners, and the Mets were Silenced by the Nationals (*Noticeable Snickering*). This Puts the Braves at 2 Games Ahead of New York, 4 Ahead of Miami, 5 of Philly, and 7 Ahead of Washington. TOMORROW: Round 3 of 4 Between the Marlins and the Braves will take place Under the Lights of Truist Park. Out of Options and DESPARATE, the Fish turn to their Ace, Sandy Alcantara, Who hasn't been as Sharp in the Last Two Outings, Giving Up 14 Runs (12 Earned) on 16 Hits Over the Last Two Outings, Totaling Only 10 Innings. Meanwhile, BRYCE ELDER will take up Battle Stations for the Bravos, Who Pitched ADMIRABLY Against the Defending World Series Champion Houston Astros, Allowing 1 Unearned Run on 5 Hits over 6 Innings of Work in a No-Decision. Can Elder and the Braves Work their way to a Third Straight Win and a Series Win against the Fish? Or will Alcantara re-discover his Cy Young Skills and Slap the Braves' Winning Ways to another Stop? We will find out Tomorrow at 7:20 P.M. EDT on Bally Sports Florida.... Extra? (Marlins) and Bally Sports South (Braves)! SoundFX09, Signing Out!

Pretty fair analysis of the game but I'll just add one comment. The bullpen didn't struggle so much as Dylan Lee struggled. McHugh pitched 2/3 of an inning allowing one hit and no runs, Chavez gave up three hits and one run on an inside the parker when Pillar went smashing into the fence (took him a few seconds to regain himself, therefore allowing the runner to advance and score), bit of a fluke in my opinion but a run is a run. Charlie was awesome and both Collin and Jesse were good. The offense was as expected and it amazes me how many of the hits were opposite fielders. That makes it very hard on pitchers when your opponent can take you the other way.

The Hawks weren't the only ones who won and survived. The Atlanta Braves delivered another victory of their own at home. And they've done it by blowing out the Marlins and take the series with a score of 7-4 inside Truist Park. The Braves got a head start with their first homer in the first inning, and Miami answered back with a run of their own to tie up in the third. But Atlanta is not the kind of team to be taken lightly, and they blew this game open with four separate runs halfway through the contest. And to finish off, the Braves did more damage by scoring two runs in the eighth while the Marlins counterattack with two runs themselves. But in the end, Atlanta survives another fishy swordfight and came out victorious. The Braves build up their lead in the standings to two games ahead of the Mets. The final round ends tonight before the Braves head out to the Big Apple, which is New York, to face off against the Mets. Can the Atlanta Braves finish off the series with another home sweep, or will the Marlins fight back and stop the sweep from happening? Find out and tune in tonight to see if the Braves can make out a perfect sweep at home from Truist Park in Atlanta! If you have tickets available, come on down and bring your fiery Atlanta spirit! Yeah, the Astros exposed the BP vulnerability in that rough series. Bouncing back against the Marlins, but the BP needs to regroup and lock it down

I was a little confused why Jesse was warming up but Snit brought in Lee and McHugh first. I don't blame Jesse for the inside the parker but unfortunately, Lee wasn't sharp last night. Damage was already done before Jesse got in the game.

*I miss him too, but notice that he choked on that last at bat. I was definitely scared of him coming up to the plate.* _I'll always remember fondly of his crowd-silencing bomb he hit in Houston in that last game of the World Series a couple of years ago._

It amazes me how many of these hits were opposite fielders. The ability to constantly do this is awesome. It makes the pitchers job a little harder when your opponent can go the other way on you.

@andyroid5028 Год назад
*_I agree (and a great observation). To me, the ability to hit to all areas of the field consistently (against either LHPs/RHPs) is something the Braves do quite well. It's almost like having switch hitters up & down the lineup._*
