I’ve been trying to tell everyone that Lynn has been washed for 3 years now. He just doesn’t have an out pitch anymore. U can’t throw 92mph 4-seamers. It doesn’t beat MLB hitters
He is incorporating his slider some more this year, we'll see if it plays. He started working it in last year and got a 30+% whiff rate on the pitch. He's carried over a 30% whiff rate with it this year thus far, too. Hopefully that helps give him that out pitch he needs at this point in his career. He's racked up the K's his first couple times out so far. We'll see if he can limit the homers over he starts getting into his groove. Fingers crossed
YOWZA !! Ladies and gentlemen, Manager of the Year Oliver Jose Marmol and his St. Louis Cardinals (the GREATEST team in the league) are like SOULJA BOY ... they TURN THEIR SWAG ON for a victory. CANNOT WAIT to see them TAKE the NL Central, MAKE the postseason once again and in six/seven months (depending on when the games are in October/November), HUDDLE around that TWELFTH World Series championship! In the top of the first inning, left fielder Michael Siani leaves us all SPEECHLESS with a #SCTOP10 catch. That PROVES the STL not only is the best offensively, but defensively, too! Iván Aaron Herrera, he got that DOG in him. In the bottom of the second inning, the 23-year-old from Panama City, Panama gets the offense rolling by DEMOLISHING a bomb to left center field! Someone go check the Mississippi River for that ball. In the bottom of the fifth inning, just co-Most Valuable Players of the League doing their thing! First, Paul Edward Goldschmidt, the 36-year-old from Wilmington, Delaware, has a CRAFTY groundout, bringing in Michael Siani. Then, Nolan James Arenado, the 32-year-old from Newport Beach, California, BLASTS an RBI double to left field to drive in Rookie of the Year Award winner Victor Dwanyne Scott II! An UNFORGETTABLE bottom of the seventh inning. First, Iván Aaron Herrera CONTINUES to stay hot with an RBI single to center field, letting Paul Edward Goldschmidt go home! Afterwards, Nolan Brian Gorman, the 23-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona, RIPS an RBI double to right field, as Nolan James Arenado and Ive both crossed the fourth bag. Following that, Alec Michael Burleson, the 25-year-old from Charlotte, North Carolina, SMACKS an RBI single to left field to bring in Gor! Finally, Masyn Blaze Winn, the 22-year-old from Katy, Texas, OBLITERATES an RBI triple to right field as Burly comes in. Y'all, Michael Lance Lynn looked like a TIME MACHINE ... the 36-year-old from Indianapolis, Indiana notches SEVEN huge strikeouts. MAD PROPS go to Matthew Joseph Liberatore, Neil Andre Pallante, Giovanny Gallegos, Joseph Abel "Jojo" Romero and Ryan Dalton Helsley, all part of the best bullpen in the league, for the BONE-CHILLING defense! TIME TO FLY !!!!!! #12in24
