(scroll down for english / italiano) Marmorphosis ist ein 3D-Videomapping das für die St. Marx Kirche in Laas, Südtirol, Italien konzipiert wurde. Es erzählt die Geschichte der Entstehung des Marmors die vor 500 Millionen Jahren in einem subtropischen Flachwassermeer vor der afrikanischen Küste begann. Millionen und Abermillionen Muscheln, Krebse und Korallen bildeten das Sediment, das durch die Kontinentalverschiebungen zweimal großer Hitze und extremem Druck ausgesetzt wurde. Dabei verwandelte sich das Kalkgestein in zwei Metamorphosen zum härtesten und kristallinsten Marmor der Welt, der heute in Laas und Göflan in den Vinschgauer Alpen abgebaut wird. Marmorphosis is a 3D video mapping that was designed for St Marx Church in Lasa, South Tyrol, Italy. It tells the story of the formation of marble, which began 500 million years ago in a subtropical shallow sea off the African coast. Millions upon millions of shells, crustaceans and corals formed the sediment, which was exposed to extreme heat and pressure twice as a result of continental drift. In two metamorphoses, the limestone was transformed into the hardest and most crystalline marble in the world, which is now quarried in Lasa and Covelano in the Venosta Alps. Marmorphosis è un video mapping in 3D progettato per la chiesa di San Marx a Lasa, in Alto Adige, Italia. Racconta la storia della formazione del marmo, iniziata 500 milioni di anni fa in un mare subtropicale poco profondo al largo della costa africana. Milioni e milioni di conchiglie, crostacei e coralli formarono il sedimento, che fu esposto due volte a calore e pressione estremi a causa della deriva dei continenti. In due metamorfosi, il calcare si è trasformato nel marmo più duro e cristallino del mondo, che oggi viene estratto a Lasa e Covelano, nelle Alpi Venoste. Il video mapping è stato realizzato nell'ambito del 1° simposio internazionale di scultura "Vinschgau kristallin" 2024.
