Like Adam said his dream writing team has quited and returned and this felt like they will be writing their new songs... Then James said that upcoming album is his favourite, he won't say that unless it has many guitar riffs.... James like songs with more guitar riffs like the sun
I'm seeing a lot of people saying they prefer the early Maroon 5 more than the later version. It's because when they first burst onto the scene, their music had a lot more funk and soul to it, then it became more pop as the years progressed. The latter songs were still good, but the sound changed to appeal more to the mainstream and the trends of the time.
the old songs will always be super golden songs when it's brought back to the time by those who just came back again after the songs were used to play on your tune.
As a kid bumping this on a radio I had in my room in 2005 I loved the song❤ As an Adult revisiting this song I understand the lyrics because I lived through it. I love the song even more 🤟🏽
Maroon 5 has a lot of great songs, but IMO this song alongside its video accurately represents Maroon 5's entire style as a band. The whole production is extremely flamboyant but somehow really fucking manly at the same time. These men are so fabulous!

WhiteGuyFromCincy Well I don't quiet believe that but even if it's true, every band goes through changes and Maroon 5 is certainly no exception and certainly you cannot expect them to stay the same forever. They are not music machines designed the only fit one style, they are real people that evolve, just like everyone else. I would agree with the entire "I don't like them cuz they're not the same" argument if adam and/or the entire M5 went full miley cirus but that's obviously not the case, in fact, Adam is happily married now after years of dating a new model every month. The truth is; times change and people do so as well. "none of their songs now have real instruments". That's simply not true, and most M5 (recent) songs can be played with an acoustic guitar alone and sound even better, in fact that's what they do a lot of times when they play live and still sound great. M5 (relatively) recent songs that still have their original style: My Heart is Open Sex and Candy Lost Stars Wasted Years (written back in Songs about Jane days, but published till 2012) Beautiful Goodbye Let's Stay Together
Gerardo Montalvo i dont think they suck because they changed their sound. I think they suck because they use their status as a band as a thin veneer to keep us from noticing how they no longer compose music themselves, how now, more than ever, Adam has completely engulfed the spotlight, and how the use if actual instrumentation in their music is dwindling into nothing. Venturing into pop isn't bad, but you should do it on your own terms and through your own merits.
I love Maroon 5 so bad, all their songs that came out when I was elementary and middle school I was over the moon and now that I’m older and actually know the lyrics, they connect so much and yet I still make sure I listen to these every month💕💕
i was making myself dinner in the kitchen and suddenly a tune popped up in my head. i kept repeating it and eventually made up the lyrics. it said "cuz i dont believe in ghosts anymore, anymore". i knew it was a song sang by maroon 5 because of the voice that was singing it in my head, so i searched "i dont believe in ghosts anymore maroon 5", found out it was "you", not "ghosts". 😭 great song btw
This song hits all facets of ultimate satisfaction . The cool purple yet brilliant pink tones in contrast to the edgy darker tones of black & magenta's - I absolutely love it . Along with that the song did it's justice in delivering both amazing lyricism and a great play of instruments . Hands down Maroon 5's best song
This is a good song I'll admit it, I remember hearing this song back in 07. If they kept this kind of beat with their music today I'd probably be ok with their new material

I don't like their new stuff but I don't mind. I guess it's because for some reason their music was more mature before and it's pretty bland now, which is weird since it's the opposite for their fan base since they started out young and grew up.

I forgot about this song completely. I was just upset, laying on my floor about to cry, and suddenly this got stuck in my head. Singing the chorus of this, just the energy of it, helped lift my spirits a lot (even if the lyrics aren't the happiest)
Yup the 2000s were so much more simplistic then now better clothing and stuff plus no mumble rap / mumble crap like this song is so good even if I was 1 when this came out I randomly looked this up and I forgot about this song until I got no reason until this anymore part such a good song though

@@apollogriffin2166 I mean as a decade, domestically for US the 2000s were pretty shit(9/11, Iraq war, etc.) , so to cope with the depressing times art used to be nihilistic but highly stylized. In the 2010s(Domestically a good decade for the US) since things got way better, pop music started to sound more generic with time. But 2010s were the golden decade of indie music.
I absolutely Love some of marron 5 songs like: This love, makes me wonder, Misery, Payphone, even moves like jagger is pretty damn catchy. But other songs expecially their latest ones are extremely weak imo

I actually don't get it when people say that. Their newer stuff like Payphone, Animals and One More Night are better. Not much better cos all their stuff is great, but they got better imo.
