@@wentztrisler6432 they use to play the non rap version at Macy’s when I worked there in 2012 all the time still hate they never released this version of the song on the album or Apple Music
This came out right after I lost my girlfriend (how perfect is that?)...it still makes me cry sometimes, but little did I know it would become my favorite song.
+Yugi Muto sorry dude but every girlfriend ive ever had was my best friend that was a girl so i never had to take the break up really hard because she was stuck with me lol but seriously wish u best of luck
I am really sorry you lost your girl, I lost my guy not too long ago.. My heart is still trying to find every little piece that was shattered. I promise that your Mrs. Perfect is out there waiting for you right now, you just need to find her.
For those complaining about Wiz Khalifa's part, it actually does go with the song. He's talking about how regretful the person would be if they just walked away. To be honest, both versions with and without are good.
Quem ta ouvindo Em 2020? Cara nostalgia essa música, ouvia quando eu tinha 10 anos é hj atualmente tenho 19 anos, cara ainda sinto oque eu sentia quando ouvia ela.
He has some hits and misses, most of his featured verses are misses though; There's this one song of his called Remember Me and his verses in it are so awful that it practically ruined the vibe of the song, so someone completely cut out Wiz from his own song and left The Weeknd's verses in instead(and the Weeknd was only featured in that song, yet his verses MADE that beat).
You have to REALLY nice to even consider calling rappers musicians. In the end, the only thing rap has done for music is to make more and more gang violence.
Alex Standley y’know there is rap that’s... soulful. There are actually pretty good and meaningful rap songs that aren’t about gangs. And rap can be implemented into things, the first thing into my head comes Moana because that was the last place to expect a rap but it was done well. Of course you can have your opinion, I’m definitely no fan of rap either, but can’t generalize a whole genre like that, while many that analyzation can definitely be true, it’s not the entire genre. I don’t like rap like I said, but I enjoy the style when it’s done right. Not all rap is the mainstream annoying ones. And hey rap doesn’t really happen anymore anyways because now we have mumble rappers. They don’t speak.
Frankly the bridge they cut to put in Wiz Khalifa is so lovely, also to hear the explicit version with the nice bridge is just the best. like the version I hear on the radio is the clean version without Khalifa or worse the clean version WITH Khalifa, which puts so many blanks into the rap that it's just SAD. so having this is all I ever wanted :)
the bridge makes the song much smoother, but it feels empty w/o wiz's verse imo. it was a great verse and i dont know why some of you people are hating on it. its better for people who dislikes rap unlike me
my boyfriend mentioned this song for me to listen. at first i thought it's just the same as the original version, but it made me realized i should stop hanging up the call every time we have a fight call. hey handsome, if ever you're reading this, im sorry. ily
I think the original Girls Like You is good enough though. But I don't want to be snobby or gatekeeper. I think it's good to experiment something (add rap). They need Wiz Khalifa, Kendrick Lamar, Cardi B to stay relevant & it's working for them.
