This is my entry to a competition called Tales Of Yore (TOY). The theme was to make something rooted/set/linked to historical events. It won first place, getting me a £240 stop motion program.
Mine's based on how pirates would maroon one another. The pirate was taken to a tiny desert island, where he was given a pistol with one shot and normally a bottle of water which would last him a day. Then he'd either starve slowly to death, or he could put himself out of his misery with the pistol, but by doing that he would damn his soul.

This is a truly and wonderfully well animated, directed and scored movie. This is one of the most well done Lego animations I've ever seen, and the longest too, just like a movie, and you've kept the quality up throughout which is astonishing, I know how much of a challenge that can be. Fantastic work my friend, you produced an amazing piece of work.

In a humble sense, this is actually better than live action pirate movies. Classic pirate and adventure movie with realistic events and good humor, while creatively using legos and other elements for scenery. Even with no dialogue I still understand character interactions just by body language and behavior. 10/10

Really impressive. lots of new ideas and the background sounds always fitted well. Love the light reflections on the boat at 8:25 and the miniature boats/islands

This was really good. I did find the constant creeking of the ship a bit annoying though. 2:59 was cool how you miniturized the ship and island. Overall, nice job!

@MrRumpapachuie Lighting - 2 desk lamps on either side of my table, arranged until I get the light right. Stuff fly - Holding it up with something just out the corner of the frame, couldn't get the masking to work. Blue sky - My bedroom wall.

@theLEGOtastic Thanks, 20fps is a good frame rate when you practise with it, and get to use it more. Before this I used 15fps, and I'm hoping to move up to 25fps for my future work!
