@Troy Staunton Your comment is way to harsh, It was only two drops by Homes from a pass and Gagai only passed one - this pass was a poor off-load because he decided to run straight into NSW's line, he should have thrown better pass the instant the ball touched his fingers.
You do remember the Courier mail put out an article claiming that the NSW team 2014 were a bunch of “duds”. Then look what happened. I was surprised Qld valued Gallens opinion so much.
@@floodwaters8887 so nobody made them do that. Next year they did the same and it worked out fine. NSW were way better on paper. Munster was the only in form player. Grant was a rookie. Ponga was injured. The Qld forward pack was missing players, most were rookies. NSW were packed with experience. They should have won.
Imagine if this was rugby union, 🤔 how many yellow and red cards would have been dished out. This is how a contact sport should be played. Big w for rugby league.
@Michael Rebholz there’s a reason for that ! rugby union is a thinking mans game whereas rugby league is just full of box heads and numb nuts. Don’t get me wrong I like a good game of rugby league and this game was a real highlight , it’s a shame I actually didn’t see it live. Rugby union is great to watch when it’s been played to win and free-flowing whereas rugby league can be a bit boring when the two teams are just going head to head like battering rams getting nowhere
@Michael Rebholz they are 2 separate sports. It’s not like American vs Canadian football in that respect. Also a big reason league hate union is because union has always tried to destroy league and stop it from existing
When Munster's confidence is up, I don't know how anyone could defend against him. As to his support players, it's like Alf of old. No one knew what he was doing, not even Alf.
I always come back to this game from time to time but that Friend and Grant combo was something else. Wished we had more origins with this two wrecking havoc.
It’s funny how time changes your opinion on things. Immediately after this game I was convinced that the block on Addo-Carr at the end was a penalty try. Watching it back now for the first time in months I think a penalty try would have been a harsh call on Queensland. I think on the balance of probabilities the video referee got it right. The Blues just got flogged in that 3rd game, QLD should have won by 20. I hope for better this year.
Jai Arrow was the highlight of the match for me.. Picked up " the fastest man on the planet" after he was KO'd cold and slammed dunked his head on the ground. That sent him off to lala land.. Massive play Arrow.
Who would be in your 2021 S.O.O Maroons side? With all those that missed out who could make it into this team this season. i.e. Ponga, D.Fifita where do you put Capewell, Brimson, C.Allen, etc.
DADA film (PNG) he's the fastest man on the planet... he's the fastest man on the planet... he's the fastest man on the planet... he's the fastest man on the planet
For people who watch this in future decades and wouldn’t know the story from this year, this was meant to be the worst QLD side in history against what was considered to be one of the best NSW of all time - the QLD spirit is real
See what happens when you play the dally m 5/8 at his prefferd position, lifted nsw up the last 5 minutes. Humble in defeat though . congratulations QLD.
I go for NSW but in league it's hard not to go for the underdogs. Josh Papali is literally the best forward in league right now.... that's your man of the series
Tedesco should have taken that tackle like a man yet he does what he does alot of times falling to the ground before they can tackle him this should teach him a lesson
whoever dropped the ball fire them, you can't be serious that only filau was the ONLY perso who can catch those high balls, so uncoodinated, even a kid could've caught it
these highlights are the reason why the NRL is struggling to get new fans. Make it a mini match, include some context, etc. NFL match highlights are 20 minutes long, and that's for their normal games.
One desease NSW coaches have is playing players out of position which is a repetitive problem since Laurie Dailey. At times it works but not all the time. Also QLD players attack when they have the ball, and also when they don't - they attack to tackle.. NSW at times only attack when they have the ball, and most of the time wait for ball carriers to come to them. It means QLD carry out their plans without disturbance where NSW are attacked when they have the ball limiting their game plans. Cmon coaches...
NSW Blues 2020 state of origin team is the best in the world. Unfortunately, badly beaten by the Queensland Maroons worst team in 40 years. The Queensland Maroons whole team none play NRL. All play Queensland Intrust Cup Competition and beats NSW team of the best NRL players. Amazingly amazing!!!
3:09 I don’t know about that maybe space itself had shifted the line back a bit or something even though he lost the ball after putting it down, but hey the overall score is 62 - 48, even though NSW didn’t win they still dominated QLD in the amount of points scored which is also considered a win, so basically no one lost technically everyone is a winner.
Yeah but if you look at the score that counts. 2-1 they lose. And the amount of series they won this year 1-0 to queensland. Points don't equal champions, tedesco scores tons of points all year, josh papaliis knee has never scored a try and it wiped tedesco.
@@gebauerkepaoa1602 they can’t make an exception for players based on speed and this is coming from a nsw supporter who doesn’t believe they were robbed
