One of my favorite moments because it shows Shiyi's love for him. I don't think she realizes that she loves her husband but you can see it in her touch. The smile on Lingyi's face when he's watching her sleep is the icing on the cake. You can see the love he has for her written all over his face. I really enjoy seeing his playful side because he is always so serious dealing with the family. I love them The GM is a piece of work. She's using this moment to praise Shiyi in order to teach Lianfang a lesson. She isn't sincere at all.

Well waking up to find his wife sitting by his side holding his hands will make a man desperate for more ...lol The way he looks at her tells the whole story. He is so content and happy.
All the feelings when you wake up to find the woman you love been taking care of you. I really love the slow burn love plot. When Ling Yi who fell in love first and being patient to wait for her to open up her heart.
It took forever for Shiyi to realize that she loved him....lol The man had the patience of a saint because she was really stubborn. His love and patience finally paid off/he finally had the love and life he's always wanted...
@@shontelagrone8713 Shiyi is also a lot younger and has other things she is trying to do, in her defense. I like how she takes care of him, not realizing this is one way to show she loves him. 😂
@@jenniferhuff4895 true. She didn't have the best example of a good man. Her father was a wimp that didn't know how to stand up to his overbearing wife. He allowed Shiyi/her mother to be kicked out of the Luo household to live in destitute outside the city so I can understand her reluctance to give her heart to Lingyi. He was able to gain her trust because he was consistent in his actions towards her. He defended her whenever she was being wronged by his family. She saw him supporting her through some difficult times. He gave her security which is something she lacked growing up under the thumb of Madam Luo. It took her a minute to trust him especially since he started off misjudging her...lol
Love this scene. Why are the pillows so high? Seeing them makes my neck hurt and I’m sure his neck is hurting as well. Maybe that’s why he is in distress in his sleep.
this old woman is really something...when she still dotes on LF she misunderstood Shiyi and always took LF's side disregarding Shiyi as the legal wife...after she heard LF cursing Shiyi then she's now taking Shiyi's side and directly ignoring LF... well I'm relieved that she's finally on her right senses.. it's just that this old woman is the root of conflicts because of her unwise decisions and biased judgement... it's a good thing Shiyi was a strong smart and wise
I agree. His mother needs to go SIT DOWN and mine her own business. They are ADULTS. She was always shading Shiyi because she is a product of a concubine, but in the end she grew to respect her as a wife and a woman. And Shiyi had the patience of GOD because in today modern age his mom would be in a nursing home. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
