I love love love Morocco. As Americans my wife and I purchased a flat in Southern Spain so we can easily ferry to Morocco. We even decorate our flat in Moroccan style. I started cooking in a tagine. We’ve visited Tanger and Marrakech . We intend to visit many more times and plan on staying 1-2 months so we can learn and experience more of your fascinating country. Salam Alaikum.
I really love what you are doing with your new Marrakech series. I, too, visited Marrakech last year for the first time, and although I loved the Medina, the Souks, and all the traditional and expected tourist things to do. Until I discovered the "New Medina" the more modern side of this beautiful city, there are so many things to explore in areas like Gueliz and Hivernage, you get an insight into how the people that live and work in the city, spend their leisure time, restaurants etc, you gain that local knowledge to really enjoy Marrakech to the fullest.
Love your Morocco series so far this year, it's the best videos about Morocco me and my family have watched on youtube. We have planned our whole Morocco trip based on your videos thank you
I'm so glad I stumbled across this channel. This is such a classy film; so much better than the many loud and brash travel videos on here. I love the advice and suggestions of where to visit but more importantly, I appreciate the quality of the presentation. It's well shot, well edited, wonderfully paced and delivered so calmly and professionally. It's so informative. I'm looking forward to delving into some of your other videos. My wife and I will be visiting Marrakech for the first time in August. We'll be sure to check out the places you recommended. Thank you.
Yad Ventures, you guys are so awesome and professional. I definitely wish you were one of the ambassadors of tourism for Morocco. You guys know how to explain and pass out information, especially about Morocco. Love and admire your work. Please keep it up and come back and explore Morocco some more. Thanks again, all the way from Mexico.

i am leaving for Marrakech next week for my birthday, thank you for the insight and i hope i can convince my girlfriend , we do not have to spend so much money to enjoy our holiday
I appreciate your content about our Beautiful Morocco , first I share with anyone the concern about the hustlers whenever i was in Marrakech I always ended up fighting with the Monkeys and snake hustlers as they try to scam everyone including us the locals, but all you have to do is say NO and have a serious reaction to their unwanted requests and they will leave you alone as they are scared of the police, in the end they`re just trying to make a living and mean no harm as you noticed most people are helpful and welcoming , for traveling there are tons of places you guys will enjoy, there is Merzouga ,Ouarzazate , Dades valley , Oudaias kasbah , Ait ben Haddou ,Tinghir and Rose valley are all a must see while in the Marrakech region but that`s one region only , so I will suggest some other places that you guys can check and choose between them , -The region of Agadir start with the city of Agadir it has many great places like the Kasbah , the Souk and the Souss Massa Medina and the crocodile park ,and then Taghazout which is the paradise of surfers and has great seafood , Paradise valley are all in close proximity to Agadir city , another marvelous city would be Essaouira which is a spiritual city and home of Gnawa Music and has that cool ocean vibes . There is Tetouane and Assilah both great cities upon the Mediterranean sea , there is the Meknes region also a historical city and Volubillis a roman site is close by and has history that goes back to the 3rd century and while there you can visit Ifran if you want to do some skiing- Ouzoud Waterfalls are a magical place as well , so is Ourika valley where you can enjoy your Tagine near the river and Bin El Ouidane is a great place as well , there is Beni Mellal also and if you manage to go to the South Dakhla is a must see
Hi ! Reach out to Yassine on +212 698 94 1666 and mention you came from Yad's RU-vid video he will look after you and give you a great rate for a rental car. I recommend speaking with him on WhatsApp before your trip he can even have the car delivered to the airport for you. Also if you're looking to have unlimited internet before you arrive in Morocco I'd recommend getting an eSIM with Holafly, feel free to use my discount link here: bit.ly/YADVENTURES Have an amazing time :)
You can use both card or cash! If you're in a more local restaurant they might take cash only so keep some cash with you. There are many ATM's readily available :)
The café that you mentioned at the end that is in Gueliz is Charif not Boulangeria. It is called something like Boulangerie/Patisserie Charif. It is right next to a nice little park that you can walk around. It is on the other side of the fountain that is west of the cafe.
Yes it is! We go to the park from time to time and love just walking around the fountains. For about two months (?) the city even had a group out there playing music every afternoon. It wasn't people panhandling either. They weren't asking for money at all and they all had official badges on. It was at the beginning of this year.
I must give you a little better help with these two things. You can get sim cards from local shops 50dh (£3.95) for 10GB.. 2 there is way more better rates to exchange money in the city. Hotel ail does great rates it always has ques and in the gueliz area awesome rates.. loved your Moroccan vlogs you filmed the nice sides of Marrakesh 👍. I would recommend people to go see the casino at night and the surrounding area you will love it and nobu restaurant
For sure, but to save yourself some hassle it can be good to change a small amount at the airport if you haven't already to pay for taxis from the airport.
To be honest, I don't like the guys with monkeys nor the way they treat these monkeys. They're rude to locals also, especially coming from other cities. A Moroccan would know how to deal with them, but that might not be the case for tourists. I might advice people to tell them no, please and insist on "no" then ignore them and go away. If they insist and try to give you the monkey, just call the police. If you want to help them, it's up to you. Otherwise, good video like usual. 👍🏻
Bro the scammers in merrakech and casablanca are too much, especially the people with the abused monkeys and animals they’re too pushy it’s almost an assault to the tourists and I don’t know why the authority doesn’t do anything about them, i understand that they re trying to make a living but they’re giving a bad image about moroccan people.. i’m just ashamed
It’s true I feel something has to be done against those guys, but like yourself I’m not sure why still nothing is being done. Perhaps it’s what makes the square a place to see?
These people harass locals as well if you are from other cities to get paid. If you know that, then just say no thank you and ignore them, just ignore them or call a police near you.

If you had to choose to visit either Tangiers + Chefchaouen + Marrrekech or Marrakech + Essaouira... which would you choose for a 7 day trip for first timers?
