Global touring cars has lost appeal to manufacturers because most cars now sold are SUV's. It's better for manufacturers to enter GT3 and GT4 championships around the globe and sell cars to customer teams. Would you rather drive a Honda Civic TCR or a Porsche 911 GT3 ? The cost of competing is more or less the same as more GT3 cars are made and the price comes down. BTCC remains an exception though.
I'm asserting that Bjork, Ma and Urrutia are wrecking other drivers deliberately every single race to secure Ehrlacher and teams championships. If not, they go sandbagging to guarantee a few load for the next race. They are unpunished by doing this and the have bien doing it many years, even before the runaway from the championship and with Muller as driver.
