Coming from a position were I lost my father at the age of 15 and I'm 35 now, I think before you condemn someone and tell them to man up, you should walk a mile in their shoes. We all deal with grief differently when it happens, men and women girls and boys deal with grief in different ways. What Cody did in the show and afterwards are indefensible but the whole man up thing is a load of toss. Until you've been there, you've no idea what it is.
Most men will only dream to meet a women that is as bubbly, kind hearted and devoted, the way Selina demonstrated her unconditional commitment and dedication to her partner. Cody is nothing but a boy, not a man, that lives in absolute filth and will never find a women that is impressed with his immaturity and personality similar to that of a potato.
Delightful as a mate yes but would you have someone like that as a partner? Clingy, desperate and a pleaser who doesn't a mind of her own but personality of a "doormat". If someone shows you what he is you call him out and respond appropriately. You don't go grab his hand in the car when he clearly detested and shunned you at the table. Unfortunately (as the experts tried in vain to point out to her once) unless she takes some ownership instead of it's all his fault she's likely to have the same experience if not worse. There are many Codys out there so good luck.
Her fake dye and pupil just go to show how much it affected her growing up as the different/Asian kid in a wyte society, how much she wants to be a "blonde" that she simply couldn't. And how much she was and still is torn between the values of the society around her and her parents' values that she clearly has no care for (I don't blame her). The look is just superficial and fake to me. The day she embraces her true identity which I think is much prettier than the fake facade she's hiding behind, is gonna be the day she has the confidence to stand up tall and call out bs. Would love to see that. After all she is delightful and wishing her nothing but the best.
Best thing to happen to you Selina. My partner and I, the whole season, thought Cody was such a weirdo, and you were an absolute delight who deserved soooo much better
The way selina apologised to dom and self reflected was just one thing that showed her true character. There were so many times her beautiful nature shone! She is a kind, decent person and that show did her dirty pairing her with cody.
I think another question that was overlooked and needs to be asked is why did Olivia choose Selina as the first person to tell about Dom's extra-curricular activities on onlyfans and the photo? Olivia was trying to implicate Selina and make her look bad.
I said to my son from Selena's first episode that I'd be doing backflips if he brought Selena home to meet the family She's a beautiful girl inside and out, an absolute sweetheart Will be a very lucky man that ends up with this beauty
Watching Selina at the final reunion was heart breaking because she deserves so much more. I have immense respect for the way she handled the situation. Despite the obvious hurt her dignity shone through and she proved that she is a real diamond♥️♥️♥️
I've fostered a lot of kids with trauma and Cody absolutely portrays similar traits. Kids who experience trauma that isn't resolved get stuck emotionally at that age, and for Cody that was around 16 years old. Living like a pig (typical teenage boy), batman sheets and most noticeable, emotionally unavailable, all being classic signs. He needs help, not our condemnation. Selina, you're bloody amazing.
I totally agree, but I think the same can be said for Selina, never feeling good enough. Her self worth is so wrapped up in what others think of her. She has some healing to do around that too. It makes her very needy emotionally. She doesn't need to seek validation from anyone but herself.

He is just a coward, he was scared to admit to her face that he didn't want her, and he was the same throughout the experiment, he didn't want to her or have to deal with that. The moment he was able to get away from her he told her the truth, nothing to do with trauma, just not a 'man'

Cody gave a perfect illustration of a covert narcissist. I was always suspicious of him when he smiled when Selina was upset. It is called 'dupers delight'. It's a smirk that narcissist have when they've fooled you, hurt you and confused you. It actually makes them happy. Olivia had it too. Watch out for it peeps, it's everywhere. If someone blows hot and cold and you constantly feel confused, they have a narcissistic personality disorder. Even if they seem shy and sweet. That is their facade for being an empty soul. Get the heck away from them as quickly as you can. 😊
This behaviour often also manifests in people who are on the spectrum. Men with Aspergers can portray these traits. I feel like Cody is very possibly on the spectrum.
Goes to show Selina's mum was absolutely spot on about Cody and he was bad news from the start. Feel bad that he wasted her time like that and at many times made her feel like it was her fault that she wasn't good enough for him
I'm so proud of Selina's growth. We saw her growth after the photo incident to the reunion, and we are seeing her growth from the start of the experiment to now. Finally! She sees it. You're worthy not for what you do, how you look or even the fact you are a nice person but because you are a living being. It's sad when you are truly trying but you're trying with a person who is not invested in you and your well-being. She said something that I agree with that he was making things really difficult so that SHE would dumb him to save his image and yet she didn't. In the end after it all, it was HE who made the decision to end things. How much of her self was she willing to give to making the situation work? Recapping what she said (1) he did the bare minimum, (2) treated her like a second class citizen, (3) disparaged her character & (4) treated her as if she was a joke. The "experts" were absolutely irresponsible for misleading so many for the sake of the show. Selina was constantly gaslighted by Cody. Her and Ella. It was painful to watch them contort themselves into pretzels for the sake of wanting to find "love". 💔
Based on her story, It seems like he was just there for the tv. He planned it to end it as soon as the show ended. He played it well. If i were her, I wont give any time talking about him. He's not worth it.

OMG!!! Watching this now makes it all clear. The whole thing was a stitch up from the very beginning and all planned out between Cody and his friends and designed to make a complete mockery of the show and everything it stands for. From the Batman sheets to the watermelon poster it is clear that the whole thing was a prank designed to take the piss out of MAFS. The only thing the boys hadn't planned on is Cody being set up with such a nice person worthy of committing to for life. Neither did they anticipate that he might actually develop real feelings for her. I think he even surprised himself especially finding he was matched with someone so genuine that the intention of his participation was in conflict with what was happening. The whole thing backfired on them and made him look like the fool full of guilt no doubt. Selina I feel for you but wish you all the wonderful things this Universe has to offer as you are most open and deserving. Congrats on the way you handled things. You are a true champion for women everywhere.
Well at least you have realised from witnessing a lot of the others who participated in the experiment that you are not broken goods and still a sane sensible respectful lady. Only you, Al, Anthony, Holly, Ella, Brent, Dom & Jack came out of that with any credibility and all your families can be proud of you for the way you conducted yourselves. I am unsure about Matt but think he was harmless but frustrated by being with the ice maiden. Cody is only ever going to contact you if there is a benefit to him. Lock all the doors to your future wedding venue in case he crashes in at an appropriate point.

So the whole affectionate thing about the "family curse" was the storyline for Cody. As if he has that issue...I feel sorry for his uncle. He was so emotional about his story and Cody used it as a scapegoat and wore it as if "he has that issue too" 🙄🙄🙄 fucking liar!!!! So glad Selina is out of the "relationship" with Cody. It all makes sense why he was so stunted and not emotionally expressive. She seems strong and confident in herself. Hopefully this experience won't put her off from finding a good man who really cares.

I blame the mafs producers. It was clear in the homestay episode that Cody needs to work through his grief, feeling his emotions and his relationship with his mother before being in a relationship/marriage and they still matched him.
Selina is the most beautiful person inside and out, I love her positivity and bubbly kind forgiving nature. I wouldn't have been able to get past the not being attracted to my look and nationality. It's a done deal at that point 🤷🏾♀️ I know she will find love. I hear rumours of her and Al but I think she needs someone like Brent who's kind and mature
What a wonderful person Selina is. Amazing. I always felt throughout the show that Cody was gay (that’s not a bad thing) and therefore was never going to be into Selina. Either way he just wasn’t honest about his feelings about her throughout the whole show. Pity Selina had to suffer through. She and Al would make a good couple. Her mum could mold young Al into the Adult she wants for her Selina.
Selina you will meet a good man who will be on exactly the same page as you. I dated a man like Cody years ago and he is still single today. Cody will most likely always be a bachelor because he probably won’t truly ever know what he wants.
