If a man is very generous with his finances and the two of you have just met - 8 times out of 10 that's a giant red flag. Unfortunately, in today's society - that's how men are expected to operate (both from the male and female perspective). We are taught to be providers (this is usually from a strict financial point of view) and looked at as less than if you're unable to do so. As I'm saying this is not the case for all men but more times than not if you find a guy that's well off, very attractive and single, there's a most likely sinister reason behind that. Some less sinister than others but still the case - either some huge character flaw - they're toxic, maybe a work-a-holic with no time to devote to a relationship, maybe their just not interested in settling down, they have a significant other in secret. The point is, just tread lightly and move with discernment. In my late 30s, I was tasting 6 figures (contracting), had my own home, my own car and single. But I'm also not, conventionally attractive and have historically put zero effort into dating. Always felt like I could use my time more wisely and that God would put the right woman in my path (this has held true - it means long dry spells but have met some quality women, the last of which is my wonderful fiance). Always keep in the back of your mind that narcissists and toxic individuals are often very successful because they're very good at manipulating people. Their money is also a tool of manipulation (often times the only one they have). Give people time to show you who they really are and don't ignore the red flags. That was very perceptive of Zogie to pick up on the behaviors of married men.

FWIW: I am a _"Boomer,"_ so take what I am about to say in that context. I was married for MANY years. I am divorced now, although my ex-wife and I are still good friends. All that said, when I was married I NEVER EVER tried to _'hit on'_ other women. For you Ladies that have experienced this, all I can say is *_IMHO_* not all married men are like this. The human race has NOT YET fallen THAT FAR. {I hope.}

In my 20s , i had a married cab driver try the infamous words "my wife doesn't understand me". I told him to speak to his wife and get counselling. He then told me that his wife didn't care about him. I told him to divorce her then if he wasn't happy. Plus talking to a female stranger isn't going to solve his issues. Once i told him that, he remained silent.😂

Exactly like I was talking to this one guy. And after he wasted my time he went off to go marry somebody else. Then he wants to come back and talk to me. I literally took screenshots of this. I told him I moved on(wasn't into him this was supposed to be business) here I am thinking I'm about to get some land and he's wasting my time. I'm going to be faithful to the dude that I want to be with. I wasn't really interested in him like that. He also had a lot of self-hate issues and was bleaching his skin because when I first met him. He was much darker than me when he started to match my skin tone I'm like hold up something's not right. 😂 Now he's in my DMs fighting for his life talking about how he truly loved me and he was faithful but didn't tell me about that other chick. I'm like look I'm not interested in you like that I just wanted to buy land from you I don't know how you thought it could have been anything different. He would like flirt with me or whatever but I would flirt back so I could get a discount. That was a big mistake so he still bothering me but it is what it is..

I have experienced this with Congolese men, one I actually considered an uncle because my mom was married to his cousin. We would go to his house, I called him uncle his wife auntie (who I like so much, is so sweet and beautiful) he knew my boyfriend now husband. He would harass me and tell me not to tell my cousins who were his nieces, but me being me I told my mom and my cousins but I didn’t want to hurt his wife because he would already put her through it so we kept to ourselves, is crazy.

This reminds me of a story I was just remembering earlier today. I am not a Nigerian by the way, I am Zulu.
