Serves 4 - 4 skin on chicken breasts (thighs would work well too) - Salt - 300ml double (heavy) cream - 225ml chicken stock - Salt & pepper Paste - 3 garlic cloves - 1 bunch basil leaves - 1 red chilli - 110g sun dried tomatoes - 1 tbsp tomato paste - Squeeze of lemon juice - Zest of 1 lemon - 2 tbsp sun-dried tomato oil - 1 tsp smoked paprika - 2 pinches dried oregano - 1 tbsp water - Salt and pepper To serve: - Greens or tenderstem - Olive oil mash - replace milk and butter when making your mash some with extra virgin olive oil ,salt and pepper. A game changer and full of flavour. 1. To make the paste, add all the paste ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth. 2. Season the chicken generously with salt, then sear in a medium-high heat pan with a splash of oil, skin side down, until golden brown and crisp. this will take 5-10 minutes. Flip over and cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and set aside. 3. In the same saucepan add a splash of oil and fry the paste over a medium heat for a few minutes. 4. Add the cream, chicken stock and season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to medium low and cook for 5 minutes. Add the chicken back on top of the sauce (don’t submerge the skin), then place into a fan oven of 160 C / 320 F for around 25 minutes until the chicken has cooked through. 5. Remove from the sauce pan, leave the chicken to rest for 10 minutes (do this whilst finishing the mash and prepping greens) and then slice and serve with the sauce and some tenderstem over an olive oil mash. Enjoy!
You made me remember a short with similar name...very trippy and surreal. The name Is "Hen, his wife" and it's on RU-vid. It is precisely about a man who discovers that his wife is a chicken xd
@@Jrt91how do you season your chicken? With engine oil? Literally just throw in te chicken some salt and pepper with paprika and some dry herbs and your good to go
@@badgyal4576 you can tell people know nothing about cooking. 1. Looking up the myth of cleaning chicken. 2. Look up the difference in quality of this chicken
Yeah the choice to use an oil raises an eyebrow for me. Butter generally tastes better. Or better yet, don't make mash. Crispy baked potatoes are awesome.
@@tinkyy.97you need to learn about your history. No one stole your spices. The British traded it, like a drug dealer. Your spices are used nowhere around the world. (Only in England probably, just because of the Indian cooks and restaurants over there) Nobody uses your dishes or spices outside of India.
@@Professor-id4jh hahaha funniest thing! Somebody claimed butter chicken as thier own food months ago! I think u are not aware of what indian food looks like! Only Indian and Thai cuisine looks similar Others country doesn't have this kinda looks and taste especially American don't eat Masala based food Masala based food belongs to South Asia Do some research before speaking
I can’t man😭 Everything you make manages to get my mouth watering. I’d let him take me on a date any day😂 Why r people so confused it’s a joke! I’m saying that his date night dishes look delicious
Hey Sam! Good to see you making delectable dishes again. Could you add all of these video recipes to a playlist on your channel as you progress through them for ease of acess later on? I find YT shorts pretty hard and annoying to find after a while, so this would really help me find a beautiful dish when a date night occurs ;)
asian cuisine already has you with white fishes. they do more extravagant shit than this all the time (and with probably simpler things surprisingly...) (after all, they basically caused it lol...)
The basic idea was "cook this dish and your boyfriend will propose". No it wasn't a magic spell, but lots of woman noted success in a "made this and three weeks later/2 months later he proposed". Theory is that making the chicken feels like your doing something tangible, which makes the waiting less frustrating.
Again this overwhelmingly beautiful instrumental to my ears playing and nobody helps me find what it’s called upon requesting.. kindly. 🤦🏻♀️ Please, if you know a link to it just paste it right here if RU-vid erases it then just kindly leave a comment. 😊🤚🏻 Thanks.
@@robbledot7290 ofc I saw it but still the actual chicken isn’t seasoned that sauce is just like dipping your chicken in sauce the seasoning needs to be put on directly on the chicken and not just salt seasoning chicken with just salt makes the chicken so bland Idek how people eat chicken that’s only seasoned with salt
It's the equivalent of dipping cooked chicken in seasoned ranch, and calling it seasoned. You are correct, but they'd rather argue. Is all good though. I for sure will be seasoning my chicken when I make this though. Looks bomb, other than that. @@BTCETHHODL
