Ah guys, I finally understand how these events work, basically all events are considered platonic, only the events after entering a relationship are romantic events, this is for all characters
I get that these events are suppose to be platonic until you're at 8 or higher with them but some of these heart events just don't involve our character to the point that it kinda feels like we're on the outside looking in and then with actual interactions in these events, it's like we're moving a bit too fast. Like damn! All I did was watch you co-parent with your ex and now we're dating?! Like... our character couldn't have at least been more involved? Like 'stumble in' while the pair were talking and give some input or comforting words (bonus dialogue if you are good friends with their kid, too), play games with the kid, and stuff like that. Show that we're also parenting material, be an ear willing to listen, and help lighten the load, you know? Even have a moment where Antonio says something like 'I'm glad she has you'.
Gotta say i'm a bit disappointed by this one. I've been really looking forward to Suki's romance since forever, but... **SPOILER** It was a wild choice to have the player be absent for like 90 percent of the heart scenes. And the one where the pc IS present is shared with Ben. I feel like we hardly connected with Suki.
@@SlothMammoth me too, i was looking to marry her in my first run, Well, the best way is to wait and see if they can add more content for her romance, I remember that Stardew also had a lack of romance events in the first updates of the game.
I'm wondering if this is just a thing with Suki's heart events or if it's reoccurring in the game. I think I wasn't present for just one of Leah's so far (not that I've seen that many). While I do like seeing the interactions in the current events, they definitely need to change them a bit and make the PC involved in something.
I hope they make changes too. Like you said, the pc should be involved in a large majority of scenes at the very least. You can't even build friendship between characters if you're not present lol Plus the romance aspect needs to be beefed up considerably imo. If most of the scenes double as friendship events without any hint of romance, they should add more events/hearts to deepen the connection once you give a love interest a locket. This is why I preferred Leah's romance to Suki's; at least Leah shows interest before the final scene and you get to spend SOME time with her before all that.
I read Leah and for some reason thought Stardew XD. I'm hoping they do at least alter Suki's and that it was just she wasn't orgiinally a romance option that made her events like this. I've not actually seen Leah's fully yet. I think I got to her 6 heart? The one where she's taking picture at the lake and Ling walks up. Alice I've seen up to her 6 as well, but I felt with hers we were more just watching than interacting with her, even though the PC was there. A few spots I expected us to step in and speak and we just never did. I have given Suki the locket though, so I'm not sure if I can see everyone else's 10 hearts now
@@redtailedhawkdude Ah, well...I've been prepping more videos and Suki sadly isn't the only one, not even remotely. Like you said, there's spots where you could easily see the pc chiming in or having a bigger role in the scene and then it just never happens. I need to replay Stardew, it's been a while but I seem to remember the pc having more interactions with both friends and romantic interests. Btw, you can give lockets to multiple people, but if you get married to one of them, the game gets confused on who you married hahaha

I feel uneasy with suki story love here. I think she is still in love with Anton in several scenes, and it is also difficult to replace the role of father for Valentina because she still love him. So the impression is that they are more apart than divorced.
When you speak to them separately, they both say that they fell out of love but are still good friends because they grew up together. But the problem is that the game builds Suki's events around the two of them coparenting and doesn't build the pc's relationship with Suki at all. It def feels like you have no presence in her life and then suddenly she's confessing her feelings. And I'm sitting there like...Girl, it's fall now and I haven't seen you since spring except to give you green smoothies in the street hahaha
Yes, my thoughts exactly. All this could have been one long event before they really got into exploring her character and building her relationship with the player

You know I tried Lilys 8 heart event somehow it worked for me no bugs. Then I gave her the pendant the day after that. I reached level 10 heart with her. Then I went to her room at 9am. It was spring for me in regular weather. And I saw her 10 heart event. You should totally try it. ✨👍🏼

"Your genuine love for me and Valentina" Okay guess I'll take your word for it. The events play out a great story and all but they've got nothing to do with you. Could have been interesting.
@@SlothMammoth if valentina takes the room that usually belongs to your partner then what room does Suki take? I want to marry Suki but only if I can still have 2 new children. I'm playing on the Playstation 5 so it is impossible to test things because the game auto saves when you go to bed and you can't create alternate save files.
@@thomaspatrick7531 Ok, here's what I know for sure. When they move in, Valentina takes the usually spouse-themed room upstairs(and Suki shares with the pc and doesn't get a hobby area). Upstairs, on the left and the right, there's 2 spaces for kids' bedrooms and they do not get occupied. So I'm 90 percent sure you can adopt 2 additional kids. I haven't tested it yet, I'm super busy recording the rest of the romances, but that's my best guess atm
