Thank you for the video. But how can you compare 3 plants under a 600 in soil VS. 1 plant in Hydro? That's nothing close to a controlled experiment. And it's well known hydro produces vastly more than soil, just like some strains are heavier than others. Your factors are all over the place. Maybe put 2 plants each in same size tents, with same grow medium, same temp, same nutrients etc. Then weigh out both harvests.
Calculation doesnt make sence, because you devide your 600w by 3 plants, which dont make sence, than u go on with 200w calculation, for each of the 3 plants, but than you take total yield of the 3 plants to compare with 200w, but no! They been grown under 600w , so its not over a gram a plant, u should have over 600g if you conclude it made over 1 gram a plant, , and, secondly, u shouldnt compare a ts1000 with a 600w hps , but with a 250w hps. They been designed to replace a 250w hps.
You used the wrong formulas but you got the right final answer lol. Assuming you grew the two ChemDogs and the Purple Kush under the same 600w lamp, the yield for those 3 combined would be 0.97 grams per watt, like you said. But the yield for ChemDog #1 was actually 0.43 g/w, yield for ChemDog #2 was 0.33 g/w, and yield for Purple Kush was 0.21 g/w.
I dont think grams per watt is what matters . Its grams per SQ foot or sq meter that I care about. Grams per watt? why does that matter? If people are that hard up about their E Bill then growing good bud is the least of your problems! If your a black market dealer working for profit , then it makes sense. But all these home growers playing the gram per watt game makes no sense! I want to know the grams per sq foot or sq meter of grow space! Great grow, Thank you for sharing! Yeah but you should've done 2 4x4 tents and same amount of plants.. People have yielded 500g + from 1 plant in soil under the ts1000.. And that's with the old model.. Amazing results

@@weedgrownindoors9322 i have been growing for 12 years and dude you are a fricking god if you somehow get a permit from the state too go commercial i bet you would kill it in yields. My friend was commercial like 3 years ago and he would get like 24 oz every 1000w light.

Do you think that the fact that the mars hydro was lighting up a DWC setup may have been the difference? Nice yields either way. Thanks for putting this out.
The Mars had a slight advantage with the Hydro but both were given same strength nutrients. I feel like with a better(higher yielding)genetic, 2 grams/watt is easily achieveable for even the novice grower. Great light👍

How can you say this was a test between led n hps 😂One you should of use the same cuts off the same cultivar and use the same medium not three in soil an two in hydro lol led are good if you live in warm climates and summer in the uk otherwise hps with a hydro system will always be the gold standard.
@@weedgrownindoors9322 do you think the mars tent may have had the advantage because the plant had the whole tent to itself. I'm currently running two flip boxes 32x32 two plants each. I got a 400 hps+ 2 100w metal halides in one box probably about 650 true watts all together and the other box is about 636 true watts of LEDs. Got the hollandstar 1500w cob a vivosun 300 older bloomspect 600 older aceple 300w and canna 36w bulb and t5s 30 watts. I'm at week 3 and a half. And it seems the hid box is definitely more stinky. But led box they look so happy. I don't know guess I'll have to wait another 60 weeks to find out.
It may have had a slight advantage with the light bouncing off the walls. Biggest advantage for the 3X3 grow tent was the growing medium. Doing hydroponic with the LED helped to achieve bigger stems and faster vegetative growth than standard lighting and soil. On a side note that's alot of lights! 😁
@@weedgrownindoors9322 hydro is always kinda felt wrong to me. Weed should touch the soil. I tried dwc but seemed be more hassle. Good ol sunshine pro mix. Yeah I find LEDs to be very bright but only directly underneath. So I think its better to have multiple small lights than one large. I would rather have a 600 hps than a 400 and 2 100s in the GPS box. Did your wife cricut your jar labels? That pretty cool.
Throw another 150 watts of led in that 3x3 and it'll smoke that 4x4 with the hps. I've seen guys pull 2lbs off the Mars Hydro Fc 3000, but it's RU-vid so who knows. Great grow
Thanks Growmie💚 I can see around 600g yield from the FC3000. That would be 2g/watt~. Two pounds from a FC3000 would be 3grams/watt and even the most expensive lights can't do that. Love the FC series though, great coverage 👍
You are doing your math wrong. You should be dividing your yield by total watts not plants. So yield divided by 600 watts on the hps. Dividing wattage by plant makes no sense.
