Deschamps lifted CL, Euro Cup and WC as captain and another WC as coach. He also won CL with Juventus in 1996 and coached Monaco till the final in 2004. He lost CL final in 1997, 1998 and 2001 (with Valencia) and a Euro Cup in 2016 as coach. What a player and manager

Sadly this was the last match of one of the greatest players in the history, Marco Van Basten. He was only 28 years old. @@noahlie3302 It was basically if you didn't break somebody leg , you weren't getting sent off . Van basten had been motionless since the start of euro 1992 , it had been happening for a long time .
@@razhok9725 Dude the match was absolutely not fixed. Marseille fixed a ligue 1 match against Valenciennes before the final so as not to tire the players too much (and we got punish for that). But it has nothing to do with the UCL final match itself.

Well, Paris is a big city and beautiful full of tourists, so it was a no brainier to buy PSG, also I am sure at the time was probably cheaper buying PSG than Marseille
@@doctorsilva1345 And PSG is also the second club only in France with European trophy. Have had legendary players and Paris is a much much better city with way more potential.
Most emotional final does not exist, for man u fans its 2008 and 1999 for liverpool 2005 for marsey 1993 if we all talked abt the most emotional final only milan and liverpool fans would say 2005
This was great, never saw any of this footage before and have fond memories of this great Marseille team and the battles with Glasgow Rangers that season. Great football days.
@@EXC333 no that wasn't true it was on the French league and I think they bribed one team to not tackles the players because they were going to play in the final I think but the CL is not

Match fixing. They were stripped of the league in 93 for bribery. Yet somehow were not stripped of the CL? The trophy belong to Milan as far as im concerned
For me, OM will always be the most historical team of France. I even used to play with OM on FM and made them so good in the game with all starting xi consisting of full youth products

@@jeromemonteiro8062 it was not fixed cause you play agaisnt mighty big milan, so u doped ur entire team, afterwards om was humiliated and was banned from Europe, banned from playing the super cup and from the club world cup, it was milan who played instead which means ac milan is the true champion
Good to see Marseille back in the Champions League next season but we also need AC Milan back asap! Would be great if those 2 teams are in the same group.
