If you listen to viv and rubys interpretations of how things went, and then Ninos' interpretation of what happened, it sounds like ruby and viv never understood anything that was being asked.
They’re ignorant, stubborn, and power hungry. They were coping and raging, looking for any reason to blame Nino and others for losing control and power. If Ruby didn’t stir so much and behave so poorly, and if Viv kept quiet and not ignored Nino’s concerns about Ruby, Viv would’ve been Chief. They only have themselves to blame but they’ll never look in mirror and realize they are what’s wrong with PD.
That is BS, Nino just did Viv dirty. It is all good in RP, but lets stay honest about it. All Nino did was seeking excuses to ditch her after CG did not like her, he never really supported her or empowered her to do anything while he did congratulate her on the position. At the first pushback he ran to daisy, basically gave her Viv's plan for PD. He told Viv I don't want a yes man, but he installed a yes woman. In RP this choice makes no sense unless you don't want what is best for PD. I am sure OOC Dasmehdi thinks he is doing whats best for PD, but lets wait a bit and see how many cops are on duty in a week, a month, lets see the issues Daisy will be able to fix. I just don't think people will be around more for Daisy (or boost morale in any way) but lets wait and see.
@roadrage9191 interesting take. Mr. K never said he didn't want her. He said he had one bad interaction with her (Viv) and hasn't really dealt with her much outside that. So I don't really buy the whole CG thing. I do agree Mehdi handled the CoP poorly. On one hand he says "who cares how long it takes," then goes and appoints one out of nowhere. Leading Viv on, promising he the position multiple times. He doesn't owe Viv anything, just think it was poorly handled.

Yea, unfortunately, the current pd are largely incompetent, and even the good ones have their issues, like Viv and Beric, both good choices, but have that 1-2 things that killed there chances.
