Just wanted to say this. I come back to these videos often, they bring me so much joy. You all are excellent. Please do not remove your catalogue from RU-vid!
Merci merci merci
Your harmonies are so rich and complex! I think Paul would love your interpretation of this song. And I love the timing changes-especially that Bossa Nova groove when you start singing “take a good look around you.” Also, I particularly love the chords you all sing over “to be for each other, silly girl” and “when you find yourself in the thick of it”! Stellar job!
hello, thanks for your sweet words. (sorry, my english writing sucks a bit!) if someday paul writes us he loves our interpretation, we will be very happy! kind of dream. en tout cas, merci pour tous ces compliments avisés.
Hey! Four yeas later, listening here this very nice choral cover of a beautiful and difficult Beatles song, plus the magnificent guitar accompaniment. Congrats from Bs. As. argentina - Adrian K. (69)
A little hint of early 50s girl group vocals with an ever so slight touch of a Bossa Nova feel and just enough change in emphasis on small phrases to keep your interest. Add to the voices the guitar that perfectly boils down the Beatles musicianship into one instrument and it's a complete and captivating whole. This is, after all, a Beatles tune so you either do it as a perfect note for note cover or you make it so damn interesting and captivating while keeping that flavor that you can overcome all that. They overcame all that... and actually made a damn good interesting version of a Beatles tune. THAT is so extremely rare that I can count on less than two full hands the really good Beatles covers out there in the last 60 years or so. (I'm old and heard them on Ed Sullivan!) I loved it. WOW!
why did my RU-vid algorithm just send this to me now!!!!??? this is totally awesome. When people strip down McCartney's songs you can see how beautiful they really are.
@keydad3607. Yeah,i got this just pop up. I am a lifelong Beatles fan. Why did it take 4 years to think i may like this. Ha ha we are living in a crazy world, and it is going to get crazier. I agree that sometimes less can be more.
Enhorabuena
I have apparently stumbled on the voices of angels.......... Thank you for that..... The Beatles are the soundtrack of my life and you have added extra to that.....Thank you so much...
I like it when people do the work to make it sound right, even as they take a little license with it - and especially when English is not their native tongue. Nicely done. And excellent accompaniment.
SUPERBE !
"Martha My Dear" has been on loop in my head for days and I had no idea why. Now I know. _Clearly_ I was meant to find this recording, and it is more scrumptious than ice cream. I wish I were singing those tasty harmonies with you! Congrats, love, respect to all who created these joyous sounds
Nice song variations! And that guitar part is played so well that it sounds just like the original recording---even the original recording was done on a piano!!
I forgot to ask if these three singers are Mother and daughters. I see it in their faces and hear it in their voices. With that guitar playing this is a real bit of magic hear. Magnifique! (Did I spell that correctly?)
(we live near La Rochelle, juste un océan à traverser !)
