I see a theme of personal influence throught your testimony. So many of your problems and bad choices began by the influence of someone in your life, but your salvation came from the influence of three Christians in your life. Very encouraging and a needed lesson to teach me how much my actions and evangelism can influence those I influence.
Just got your book the excellent wife And am on chapter 2 Our stories are similar Thank you Martha for surrendering to our Lord and writing this book!!! And thanks to all of the people in your life that have helped!!!!! God bless you all!!!
I saw this on RU-vid and I am so glad I saved it. I watched your testimony today and I thank you for sharing. May God continue to work through you to minister as He desires.
Wonderful testimony. Just like king Solomon was searching to be happy, but never in God. He was looking in riches, in wine or in wisdom and has found only misery and emptiness. His father David was not as half as wise as Salomon, yet David knew that happiness and joy are in God's hand and he found his happiness in worshipping God. And as Augustine said: "our hearts are restless until they find their rest in God."
Oh Martha I cried tears of joy and cried and laughed along with you, also because your testimony has so many similarities to my own I have never hear in another woman before. I think we must be very close in age too, I am 72. It was just delightful because Christ is my favorite subject and the Center of my entire life. Thank you so much and GOD Bless you for your testimony and you contributions to the Body of Christ and a life that Glorifies GOD! I am so thankful GOD took me out of the muck and the mire and did not let me die, but set me on a path to Him and put a new song in my mouth.
Hearing another believer tell their testimony makes my heart jump with joy! God is just so kind and cool! The end where Mrs. Martha explained the gospel was such a wonderful way to end it! Darkness to light was clear as day and I am sure a young person would have never suspected her to have such a history unless she told it!
GLORY TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST!! Martha so diligently and precisely could recall her life before her salvation in CHRIST JESUS. Martha, you have narrated your stages of your life so diligently before your salvation and your testimony is one of the most clear testimonies I have heard from a believer. How GOD Has so providentially brought believers into your life sothat HE took you to HIMSELF and made you a New Creation in CHRIST. We as believers are encouraged to pray for our loved ones fervently and need to fellowship with the believers who love our Lord Jesus Christ. Our prayers are powerful and GOD listens to our prayers and HE will answer our prayers sothat those lost souls we pray for will be saved. Many Blessings in Christ to Martha and all those who love our LORD JESUS CHRIST. Blessings in Christ to all of you from Europe. 🙏🏾🙏🏽🙏🏾
Yes, in the description we state, "Watch the rest of the Ladies Conference..." and the opening video shot shows the audience, which is just women. So you are right, it is a Titus 2 type of meeting where an older woman is teaching the younger.
In Martha's book, The Excellent Wife, it is not Biblical when she talks about anger. Saul and Cain had hatred for the people they killed/tried to kill. I agree, selfish anger is a sin. But their anger alone did not cause them to kill or try to kill. God says, "Be slow to anger." It is their hatred, jealousy, envy that caused them to kill or want to kill. Hatred is an extension of anger but it is not the normal level of anger. I can be very angry at my husband, but I am not going to kill him. I may be so angry at the time but after my anger wears off, I am not so upset with him.
This video is from a ladies-only conference and is an example of Titus 2:3-4 - Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine. They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and children.
