A really cool "secret" in that game too, the less "honorable" you are aka the more you assassinate as compared to fight directly. The more dark and rainy the weather gets
@@bayabooz4855 yep yep yep. I’ve now finished the game two more times since I posted that comment. Now I am a Ghost of Tsushima MASTER, lol. Love the game
@@theleaf4 Yup. I’m pretty sure you can collect crickets or something like that to unlock different flute songs, many of which have different effects on weather. The one you have unlocked by standard, I believe, just makes it more sunny.
@Max Chukston yeah true, but i think it's more comfortable using a controller to play GoT since there are alot of controls in the game. Gonna be harder on pc
@@ppprenxx horizon also had controls mapped specifically to the touch pad which eventually also got ported to PC and works fine on an Xbox controller. So it's not impossible at all.
Those "shields" are called sode. They're designed to hang off the shoulders of the armor, and protect the wearer from arrows and melee attacks. Armor designs like that lead samurai to believe their armor needed no shield.
One of the things about this game I love is how good it does at striking a good balance between being very realistic in terms of combat and swordsmanship, but also gives that little bit of necessary game mechanics without feeling like it compromises what a soldier would reasonably do in combat (mostly).
I love how they just adore the aesthetics of that game and fanboying/-girling over how beautifully the swordplay is in this game and also whenever Jin rolls after a jump my knees hurt. Thanks for this somewhat grounded but still informative reaction you two
@@kinmingwong6866 There's a sequel? Fucking dope. I wonder how much more the city is going to be built up. Even going from Yakuza 6 to Judgment was crazy.
I don't really know why martial artists would react to a game with sword based combat, but now that it is done, maybe they should react to the display of martial arts by Yagami in Judgment !
@@supremecaffeine2633 i think theyre talking about them not being trained in this particular martial art, so their knowledge of what's happening in the game isn't that extensive.
You should react to the bossfights too, they have some super cool moves, even better than the stealth imo. my favourite is the duel amongst the spider lillies
It’d be really sick if you guys at gameology requested videos from youtubers who do professional looking gameplay of these games to show these experienced people! It’d give them so much more to talk about!
I wish I can learn Martial Arts with these people Like Gemma, Yoshi Sudarso and Noah. Those people are like one of my favorites to see them react to different fighting games. Keep up the amazing work Gamology ^-^
@@editcour3214 did I ever say I watched the video. I was watching the video then I came down to comment about ghost of Tsushima online then saw this comment and I told him to watch the video.
I feel like these to martial artists are those quite new kids at school that the bullies will try to bully and they end up beating up the bullies ASSets
Nooooo idea of Gemma reads and comments or not but she NEEDS to play this game! I’ve beaten it twice and not only is it fun gameplay wise, it’s totally FUCKING GORGEOUS!!!
I like how the martial artists almost never critique the realism like the other react videos, they just freak out about how awesome the stuff happening in the game is.
I really hope they can react to more stuff in the game, my top vote is for the flaming sword technique, like how accurate it is or if it would even be beneficial in a fight.
I wish they showed a little more of the early gameplay, like when you just start assassinating people and he isn’t proficient so it’s a struggle. I really liked that aspect
I reckon these guys should react to kills and takedowns in the Bourne Conspiracy video game. Some of those are very realistic, and the whole game is more about gritty realistic fighting, so it might be interesting.
I’m pretty sure when Jin shot shot the mongol in the back of the leg that was supposed to be a Skyrim “arrow to the knee reference” but that could just be me. I mean why else would you shoot the person in the back of the leg?
Gameplay, style, this game have one of the best. The storyline though is on a different level. Like "1 musician spreading his legend across the country" kind of level.
Me: sitting here watching on my phone chowing down on my ramen/noodles Gemma: “a little bit of gangster lean” Me: now with ramen hanging out of my nose. Thanks for that imagery gamology and Gemma thanks
If I'm not mistaken, samurais used to carry shields but then they decided the shields makes it hard to wield the katana properly so they integrated the shield into their shoulder armor. That's why samurai armors look like that
Honestly, didn't think having a sword fight game with martial artists would be so great. But, it's Gemma and Yoshi, so why not ... I dig it. Feed me more of videos from these two. Even a fishing simulator. I would still watch ;D
The funny part of this RU-vid video is when the samurai goes goes and kicks the enemy off the cliff and then shoot to bring them back that was so funny
mash-up with the martials arts and sword experts sounds nice! would love to see them have a discussion on how they differentiate and interpret various movements/styles.
Blood does come out of white clothing though. I used to work loss prevention years ago and I got stabbed in the arm while wearing a white shirt. You can buy some stain remover called Grandma's Secret. Took all the blood out of my shirt. You couldn't even tell (minus the hole).
