They didn't show one of his more brutal heat moves where he puts the end of his bat into someone's mouth, then kicks them in the jaw. Which is made worse by his shoes I'd imagine.
@@NEEDbacon good god, as if that heat move wasn't brutal enough without thinking about the metal shoes. The guy's jaw would probably be completely fucked. Like, "broken-in-a-million-pieces-along-with-half-of-your-top-teeth-permanent-damage" fucked.
@@NEEDbacon It's up there with the box of nails and pliers for me Like... No. Negative, nope, denied fuck this shit Imagine getting nails shoved down your throat - I cringe every time I see it Along with both of the pliers heat actions They won't kill you but uh *Screams of horrible pain in the distance* The mental trauma alone is through the ceiling The one where he puts the bat in their mouth and kicks them must hurt worse than getting sledgehammered in the jaw, but at least it doesn't make me cringe irl
I like how yakuza is actually sorta self aware how wildly impossible some of these things are. There’s a skill in the slugger tree that says you perform a literal miracle and deflect a bullet with a bat
@@Ludwig_Perpenhente eh he's not dodging any bullets from Daigo with a gun any time soon, Daigo has a 100% accuracy rate every time the plot lets him have a gun
the bikes seem ridiculous to westerners but in real life a bicycle is a classic yakuza weapon. There are black and white photos of yakuza smashing people out with bicycles in Japan
@@VolkXue I don't think that's what they found ridiculous so much as smashing the bike completely into pieces over someone. Either the bike is terribly made or majima has insane inhuman strength.
@@TheSoCalledZoner1 Kiryu isn't flexible enough to breakdance presumably. Majima's lower body is stronger than his upper and Kiryu is the opposite. Kiryu can pick up motorcycles and electrical panels while Majima can't however.
People of the Yakuza-verse just seem to have super human strength. Saejima literally stopped a moving car in one scene and has fought multiple bears with his bare hands.
@@HairyJuan Yes and no. It seems to depend on the person, canonically, Kiryu, Saejima, and Majima all are inhumanly strong. Everyone else tends to get flattened by them, and they rarely struggle unless they’re going up against each other.
I mean the fact that Majima can do all this crazy martial arts stuff without any actual martial arts training is pretty impressive, not to mention he developed two fighting styles just by looking at someone else do something for a few seconds. And all of this without depth perception Now they just need to recreate these moves
"That was sexy" "But totally not possible" Welcome to the world of Yakuza and specifically Goro Majima, homies, when the points are made up and the multiple stab wounds don't matter.
We are how we envision the world after all, what we see creates our reality. People who are depressed by thinking depressive thoughts, etc. Just how it is, sadly the media likes to project such (likely via advertisers like BigPharma) which is why the world is in a bad state now overall. As humans we have UNLIMITED potential, we are sentient and strong, crafty and creative, and overall the greatest creation we know of yet we relegate ourselves to mediocrity because we adhere to our rulers or our man-made laws that are by no means cogent. Sadly, such is the case and logic no longer founds our perception on reality, what encapsulates us does though. I have faith that one day we as a species may break free of the ties that bind us, the shackles that constrict us and we can truly reach our potential as sentient beings. Our reliance on technology and the perversion known as modern science must end if such will ever hope to come to pass. Humanity has been around for a long time, far longer than recorded history is willing to admit and despite the multiple downfalls of humanity we persevere. We build up, reach our potential, lose it, and then collapse. We must break free of this cycle if we wish to ever grow as a species. As it is we are trapped in a perpetual loop of madness that even the sanest of us humans is tainted by.
have them react to the other guys by order: 1:Shun Akiyama the literal butt-kicker 2:Taiga Saejima the Mountain 3:Masayoshi Tanimura the cop 4:Tatsuo Shinada the baseballer
Tbf that's not how capoeira hits work, it's not the constant chip damage of breaker, it's mind games and dodges before striking with the entire weight of your body. While there are aesthetic similarities (not to mention breakdancing was derived from capoeira Senzala de Santos, not the other way around) there are a lot of differences. That's not even getting into how wildly different Angola, Regional, and Contemporânea styles are
@@Christopher-eq1rn I don't know man. People have said the same about bushido and we all know what there nickname is. Bull****do. For obvious reasons. Plus people have been dancing in bazzare and random ways since the Azteca and vikings. I dont think one culture can really claim to of invented that. And plus it wasn't until the 70s that actual breakdamcing as we know was claimed to of been invented by dj cool herc in New York. Which makes actual breakdancing American man. I dont want to take anything away from them but I'm not handing them undeserved credit either or saying dancing might be effective in a fight. Even traditional forms has to be modernized to some degree before there applied in most dojo no martial artist just straight up starts dancing and expects to not get laughed at then beat down.
@@superdoran6396 a lot of that comes down to people conflating regional as the entirety of capoeira, despite the fact that regional largely abandoned the martial aspect of it. In regards to modernizing, that's precisely what contemporanea is. The dancing aspect is mostly just part of the whole deception part of capoeira, since it started as a way for Angolan slaves to trick their masters into not knowing they were practicing martial arts, since it was punishable by death, and was used to liberate themselves In regards to bushido, it's not surprising the weebs are blowing smoke, since bushido isn't even a martial art, it's a code of ethics like chivalry lol
Not gonna lie, the look of sheer joy and pride on Gemma’s face when she makes those puns is adorable. Especially considering the look of exasperation on Yoshi’s face, in response.
These reactions needs more QTE and cutscene moments, more unarmed heat movies and moments from the whole series. Some QTE or cutscene stuff is just beautiful.
Just started getting into the Yakuza series myself. Of course, I started with this one. I can’t believe I slept on these games for so long. I’m in love.
Yeah, I realized I was just doing the random side shit and just occasionally punching randos for hours. I didn't even realize until I got up how numb my legs were sitting, dumb struck
I honestly wish these two knew the context of who Majima is. The Mad Dog of Shimano. He acts insane, and each moveset he has reflects how unpredictable he can be. But I really love seeing actual martial artists react and breakdown in-game fighting.
Noah did an Ep without Gemma so now Gemma did an Ep without Noah. All serious though, its great to see Yoshi back and no doubt its cause of these guys busy schedules
I like how their analysis of the slugger style perfectly mirror's Long Hua's observation that Majima uses lots of classical weapon techniques with the bat.
1:08 You say that, but let’s be real, if I saw a guy with a knife flailing and leaping about a 3m radius like that, I wouldn’t wanna go fucking NEAR that guy.
I like how it's not nitpicking at every little thing and it's realism, just enjoying and pointing out inspirations and just admiring it. Also shame there was no fish nunchuks.
5:30 In real life there is a martial arts that use that style of fighting its Caopeira. in Kengan omega, there was a perso who used that , and it was capoeira.
It only took more than half a year for this... And I loved every moment of it. (missed the chance to show them the Coiling Strike, but I ain't complaining)
something i love about yakuza enemies. they see this guy, completely out of his goddamed mind spinning around like a fucking human turbine with no intention to stop. and they walk straight into him
Could we have the martial artists react to the combat of the Mad Max video game? That game has some of the most visceral, intense, and satisfying combat moves I have seen in a video game. It's just outright brutal, especially with the finishing moves and when Max has fury mode activated. Criminally underrated game and overwhelmingly satisfying to play the hand to hand, and vehicular combat in it.
2:48 I LOVE that transition. She makes a low joke and they're both trying to act professional, then it cuts to the next segment with "EXPERTS REACT" LOL
Glad to see Majima covered! Would love to Gemma, Yoshi and Noah try to recreate/put their own spin on both Kiryu and Majima's styles in a collab and maybe some of the cuscenes as well that feature more Yakuza fight craziness 🤣
0:36 I can relate to tis with one melee weapon in Warframe........using brutal tide stance........I am rapidly healing myself while I breakdancing the enemy to death at super speed......
I love these Yakuza reactions! I’d wanna see both of them react to the heat actions in Yakuza 6/Kiwami 2. The extreme heat mode actions are absolute brutal.
2:55 in ausse rules football, fighting is prohibited but if you climb onto the shoulders of an opposing player and snatch the ball out of the air it is called a “speccie” or “spectacular mark” and then other players are not allowed to molest you until you bring the ball back to the mark on the field where you caught it. deffo look up some aussie rules youtube compilations and react to them for a good time.
