Another fantastic video! The build-up to the fight was so tense, and it was satisfying to see your turret take it out so quickly. I'm really impressed with how your base is shaping up. Your building style and commentary are always a pleasure to watch. Looking forward to the next episode!
Yeah. Nicely done Engineered Coffee! I Like the plans for the colony. Having small dedicated buildings makes things really interesting. And you can fiddle around with them independently. I think it's a great idea. You can always include some mining in your videos, since it's part of your journey and you built the excavator for that purpose. I would also enjoy seeing the drone in action once in a while. Just wanted to let you know that you don't have to deliberately leave out the "boring" stuff. As long as you're chillin', we viewers can do that too. A lot of thoughts go on when I'm mining. Hearing your mining-mumbles, grunts, even rants about ...that stupid exploding battery... or whatever and ideas or general thoughts that may come to mind would all be very interesting as well. Go mad I'm loving this! Thanks man! Oh and all the best for your cold!
Have you considered putting some detailing along the exteriors that hints at mechanical interconnections? With the inverse slopes you used at the base of the refinery building, it almost looks like a prefab or modular building dropped into place, and it would be a neat exterior detail if each building was made to look like simple polyhedra (boxes, hexagons and similar) that were made to plug together to suit a need. I do like the overall aesthetic, and the only other suggestion I'd add is maybe try to integrate catwalks into the structures more? Very neat, enjoyed watching your build and you talking through your process. :)
I like how you are really taking care of details everywhere! Great direction to the series Any plans on having some more ships? I bet you can use a welder with all these structures
Good stuff. Btw, I mentioned earlier that I'd used you airlock tutorial to make an airlock. I had set it up as you suggested with 2 connectors and the event controller. I had to tear it apart and move it and when I put it back together it wouldn't work. I had put it back together with the timer block looking at the oxygen tank for less than or equal to 50%. I tried both connectors in both action slots (lock in the first option unlock in the second, and also with them switched). Didn't work. Ended up going back to your video. For some reason it won't work with less than or equal to, has to be greater than or equal to a you did in the video. No idea why.
