James Shoshone is a Native American artist of Timbisha Shoshone and Washoe descent. He was born in Carson City, Nevada, in 1972, and grew up in Woodsford California.
Shoshone began drawing and painting at a young age, and his work is inspired by his Native American heritage, his love of the Western landscape, and his work as a buckaroo.
Shoshone's paintings and drawings often depict horses, cowboys, and the natural beauty of the American West. He uses a variety of media, including pen, ink, acrylics, watercolors, and murals. His work is characterized by its bold colors, strong lines, and realistic detail.
In 2017, he was chosen to be featured in the Great Basin Buckaroos exhibition by Mary Williams Hyde.
