Here's a youtube dummie's point of view: at 0,54: why would you lope arround on a 2 year old? and than in the exercizes: long shanked bit, and stabbing your horse with your spurs.... I cant't say that I'm impressed. Looks to me like just another bully, controlling his horse with pain devices.
He is not hurting, harming, or confusing this horse in any way. His hands are soft and that is a signal bit that the horse is clearly comfortable and capable of understanding his cues. And I never once saw any "stabbing" with the spur, in fact much of the time he uses leg only, no spur.The spur is not used to be mean or harsh, it us used to lift the belly and differentiate the different cues to the horse. These things are not "BAD" - spurs and bits - they are more refined ways of communicating with your horse when you are at that point. They allow for a more refined cue. They are certainly NOT for everyone and not for someone who doesn't understand how to use them. But it is quite ignorant to make a blanket statement like you did saying that he is a bully inflicting pain. That is just not the case.
