Most sitcoms will give you at most, a "chuckle" every now and then. Not Martin...nah. I remember one episode (I think it was when he was fighting the traffic ticket in court), my siblings and I were laughing so damn hard and loud my father angrily came into the room to tell us to quiet down... before long he was laughing right along with us. That show was hands down the most consistently hilarious, ugly face laughing, sitcom EVER.
Martin is hands down arguably the most funniest comedian of all times his comedy is so timeless and endless even his old sitcom shows he was years ahead of any other comedians out there even surpassed Eddie and he still have your side hurting from laughter to this very day.
I don't think people realize how truly iconic Martin was and is. He gets some credit but nowhere near enough for all his amazing contributions to movies, tv and comedy in general. His show is still one of the most beloved sitcoms from the 90's and is still special to so many people who grew up with it and passed it down to the next generation. A true legend.
Martin will always be a legend. A iconic figure . There wasn't much to watch on TV back in the 90s. Not many shows that you would be crying laughing. You got average laughter from fresh prince, cosby show, and a few other shows in those days. But the show everybody watched. The show where you cried laughing. A show where you could be depressed, or feeling real low, and after watching it would have you grinning from ear to ear. WAS " MAHH- INNNNN " Even today, his reruns managed to stay hot, even with a whole new generation of youth. Now that's alot. So what Martin Lawrence was able to accomplish is really remarkable, and deserves some type of honor .
@@bigwaxx5045 hell yes! Wayans Bros is horribly underrated. That show, Martin, The Jamie Foxx Show and The Steve Harvey Show always got me crying laughing!
I have grown up since childbirth watching Martin Lawrence. He's always been my favorite comic actor as I watch his movies such as Black Knight, National Security, A thin line between love and hate, and Bad Boys. I even have the same haircut like he does. He truly a legend in his own right.
You set yourself up for scrutiny by making such a broad statement.when you have not heard all of the comedians you should say the best two from there genre or in my opinion.no disrespect n i say this in love. And martin is one of my favorite comedians also.
Martin and a few of his boy's or maybe some family members of his came to Baltimore's Patterson pk to play basketball years ago.A couple of those guys he was with,I played against more frequently,so I was very familiar with their faces.I didn't know them personally though. This was just before he really blew up.A few years later Martin was doing def comedy jams and they showed the same dudes I hooped with that day in the audience as Martin gave them a shout-out.
I have lived in 2 parts of Landover, Md,, the housing projects where Martin Lawrence lived and Palmer Park, MD. Martin is part of a neighborhood which was very close knit like family. The way he walks, talks, acts, is all Prince Georges County swag.
Hi Mar-innnnn. My son, now deceased would roll in the floor laughing at you. My family truly enjoyed your show. You grew up not far from our family in Projects in DC. I hope all is well with you and your family during these terrible times. God be with you.
Awww this is beautiful. I'm sitting watching with a big smile on my face, it's a blessing and beautiful thing to watch someone's story of success/dreams come true. I loved the Martin show and every now and then I pop in my seasons 1 - 5 DVD's. God Bless you, thanks for sharing :o)
I got a lot of favorite comedians but I ain't going to lie Martin is my favorite comedian of all time. Whenever I'm having a f*****-up day I always go back and watch his comedy #much love
my aunt took me and all my cousins to see boomerang when i was just 7... i was one of the youngest out the bunch. pretty sure that movie molded me a bit... thank you eddie and martin and spoon and greer etc... i remember the entire experience and movie and its one of my favorites still today.
A true classic, man. Boomerang started a whole new wave of black films in the 90's going into the 2000's. Those two decades were the true Golden Age of black entertainment. And Martin and the success of his show played a huge part in that.
@@bigwaxx5045 Faxx tho lol the stance and footwork was legit even tho he was playing around. And the episode against Hitman Hearns he put in real work in the Gym
Martin Lawrence show is one of the best TV shows ever, I mean ever made. They need to go back in the studio and get back into it. Stop all that BS-ing between each other and just do it
I don't want it to be rebooted. It will never be as funny as it was in it's prime. Just be thankful we have the original and we can still stream it. It really was the best sitcom EVER.
He was the man up in that show which made him the man to most people because people felt like they knew him through his work my favorite show of all time to this day besides i always wanted A Gina or A pam
You can tell even when he plays,he knows the basics lol some guys can’t act like they can fight...if you have a eye for body language then you can definitely tell
DMV! Martin a legend! Y'all notice how Martin kept it real and put his people on, NIPSEY was Martin childhood friend before any fame as well as the Karate guy fighting Dragon FLY Jones! Anybody notice him in the background on the Carpet
After seeing all his work at that time, especially the way he was KILLING IT on Def Jam... We knew that this dude with his own show would be "Have to see" tv. Lol
@@Tha90sKid omg I always thought I was crazy cause she look so much like sheneneh I always thought it was her there and im thinking why she aint saying nothing but acting like an extra in the background..😂😂😂😂
@@mylightshinesbright8665 I thought the same lol She does look like Sheneneh 😂 Everytime I saw that episode I kept thinking to myself she looks a lot like Martin and look like she could be his sister. I looked her up and sure enough that's his sister.
Topper Carew he made the L.A. documentary "Breakin n enterin" 83 Ice T, Egyptian Lover, Shabba-Doo, Bogaloo Shrimp, Poppin Taco which was the basic structure for the movie " Breakin" 84 Martin is a Legend in the comedy game. Great Chatacters n facial/ body expressions a great eccentric artist.
I wish people would stop connecting DC with Baltimore, Baltimore isn't part of the DMV, Landover MD where Martin lived as a child is all DC and is damn near 45 minutes to an hour from Baltimore
