Martin Lawrence is the black community's Jerry Seinfeld. They each didn't have to do a damn thing after they made their shows, and the fans to this day keep the memory of the show alive. All love to Will Smith, all of it, but his show was for everybody. Martin felt like *ours*.

Both would be gold but the chemistry can’t be beaten with Chris and Jackie and Martin was already involved around same time with the bad boys, and he gave a chance for Chris to shine at the time cuz Martin was one of the biggest comedians at the time he didn’t need rush hour but would still be awesome either way both is good in diff way

I'm a huge Martin Lawrence fan. But I hate that when he's a guest on shows like this, 90% of the interviews are always about what he did on the show. It's hardly ever about new projects that he has going on. The show was great but I'm ready to see the next big thing in his career. Whether it's a new movie, a new comedy special, a new show. Hell, I'd even take a stage play at this point. I just want some brand new Martin content. But no matter what, it's awesome to see him happy and healthy.

That's the problem with nostalgia dog people as a whole hold on to fond memories happy memories. Something that brought dem joy in life, being movies(alot good ones in the 90's) TV shows also so many good ones!! Music seemed better hell even wrestling was better lol. I wish I could get over his SNL hosting tragedy; but to watch a man I thought was a good guy devolve before my eyes into a hateful, cruel misogynist was too much. I do not recall an apology for that. It was so disgusting, so vulgar, that the episode has never re-run. I have tried to find it, to show it to incredulous people, but it is gone. Lorne Michaels made sure it vanished. To be clear: he started out well, but his jokes did not land as well as he had hoped, and it got worse quick. There came a point when no one laughed. His eyes shifted: I saw ruin coming. He assaulted the very flesh of a woman’s most private body part. He assaulted the exterior, the interior, and any pretense at belief that a woman’s contribution to life is sacred. That man is a monster-I do not care how many times he invokes his wife or daughter-for that alone, he should be deeply ashamed.
