I taught my daughter about Dr. Martin Luther King. She was about 5 years old. And the interesting part is. When she got her Facebook profile change. Dr. King was that picture on her page. There are no words to explain his presence in the lives of the people during his time. I was only 6 years old when he was killed. But in my last year of High School. His birthday was acknowledged January 1980 as an official legal holiday. What I know of him unfortunately I was a little girl. And nothing was explained to me about him. That's why I taught my daughter about him. We love you Dr. King, may your dream carry on forever Aameen.

I love Dr king but he was catapulted to the leadership, it wasn't a vote. The civil rights movement started gaining real momentum and speed when the young people: high school and college kids starting sit-ins at lunch counters and freedom rides and boycotts, the Montgomery bus boycott I'll give him credit but you need to hear Malcolm X speech "they House Negro and the Field Ne gro" if you want to get the ugly/heartbreaking truth

Martin luther king jr really knew what to say and knew what he is talking about that makes sense that he used that work that got him what he wanted even if he had to be a pain in the ass and did not give up on doing it that people will come around to his thinking made people think of what they are doing and see it on TV news were every one can see it has it is happening and who is doing it the right and the wrong you get what you want when you do it the right way that people can see it and if you do it the wrong way you have people killed more not that you should let people walk over you that is what has made Martin Luther king Jr work because he is still doing it by being a pain in the ass with out getting anyone killed because know is going to do anything about if you do not do it the way he did it and it was not for nothing that it got him what he wanted in time that you can not forget him and more people should be just like him he talks very smart with his words are the right words to use and how he acts and does things it has shown how great he was doing it that does make people do something about it and killing makes nothing happen and you get nothing but dead people and what he did give white people a good reason to do it for that reason it is not turn a check it is being a pain in ass is still doing the same thing back to white people that the other thing is doing it still comes across the same way as that does I

It was only after he realized he led his people into a burning house that he knew Malcolm X was right and he directed his aims toward wealth equity, but LBJ amped up the Vietnam War and directed funds allotted for blacks and minorities to the war effort, did not run for reelection and his big lazy a## tucked his tail and ran leaving MLK out to dry because MLK said publicly that LBJ sold out the war on poverty for the war in Vietnam

@@wastedproductions45 quite a few people that disagree with crt are familiar wit mlk's work. in fact the whole point of equity over equality and equality is the foundation of his work. that all are equal and to have a future where people aren't judged by the colour of their skin but the content of their heart. CRT takes past injustices, discriminatory views and actions against one group and forces them on another under the guise of social equalising but is intended out of malice and spite. something that MLK wanted us to move past and rise above. I also don't think MLK would approve of the actions of CRT groups. of blaming current generations of an entire ethnic group for the actions of a small percentage of its privileged upper class from several generations prior. the actions of which seem recently only to succeed in perpetuating radical racist views and furthering dissent and segregation in our society. kinda seems like the opposite of what he wanted. he promoted peaceful cohabitation, understanding, respect and a society free of racial judgement. CRT is really only promoting feudalistic tribalism, a complete refusal to try understand others, and a society heavily based on judgement.
