I love how he looked back to see Granny's reaction. When he first saw the cyclists he almost said...."did you see that?" Such an expressive little guy!
Oh, it's so nice to hear that. There is always a bit of melancholy to having owned cat for many years because they only live for so long. But when you see cats running over a meadow - happy and carefree -, you feel that's it's worth the worry and sorrow.
Agree! I understand why some cat owners need to keep their cats inside, but when you see how cats react to big open areas - how their vision changes, and their senses become active -, you feel that they must lack something in their lives if they only go around looking at walls and furniture.
Martin wants you to get some fresh fishies for him;-) It is impressive how the changed vegetation changes the looks ;-) You can probably harvest some brambles from under the bench ;-) Lots of stinging nettles as well ;-) What you call a bicycle is a humans going fast device for cats . it is somewhat spooky. If you'd run around in a black fur coat, you'd be running for shade as well ;-) Say Hi to Mads and Martin from me, and "Granny" as well!
Thank you! Your descriptions are so nice! :) I think the sound that those bikes made influenced the way he reacted. There are some sounds that make a big impact on cats - while others can be much louder and not make an impact at all. ;)
@@everydaycatstories319 Hm, that rings true. Maybe it is a different sound profile-their hearing goes much higher then ours. So maybe there are high frequencies we don't hear. Or the frequency range is like some predators would use. We still know so damned small amounts about our cats.
Mads is not quite as disciplined a walker as Martin. :) Good point about potential house projects there. When there is space, there is always a danger that someone gets a "good idea". The meadow is owned by the municipality, and hopefully it stays like that.

And what a trip Martin goes on...first he walks through the bush of the wild African plains, avoiding detection...then he deftly avoids the pack of safari hunters on bicycle...finally arriving at the edge of the Zambezi...I'm sure that's how he'll remember the day, and how he'll tell Mads about it... 🐅
@@neilm.greenberg4173 Ha ha, so funny. 😆 Well, it's not too far off - we know that the senses of cats are much stronger than those of humans, so they surely get a lot of input during a tour like this.
