Martin Schmeding plays Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Liszt, Reubke - new Woehl organ (2017) 

For his first album on the Aeolus record label Martin Schmeding has chosen the title "Die Blaue Blume" (The Blue Flower) - landscapes of the soul. He plays mostly transcriptions of works by L. v. Beethoven, F. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, R. Schumann, F. Liszt, and the famous Sonata by J. Reubke on the new organ (2017) of the Friedenskirche, Köln-Mülheim (Cologne). The instrument was built by Woehl Orgel Projekte in the german romantic style. In this video trailer Prof. Schmeding gives an insight into his concept and explains the idea of "The Blue Flower".
