Wondering what the difference in tone is between the PRS SE Acoustic models? Our Signature artist, Martin Simpson plays the SE T40E (Ovangkol back and sides) SEA50E (Figured Maple back and sides) and the T60E (Ziricote back and sides) each subtlety different in tone, but all feature the PRS bracing pattern previously only found on PRS Private Stock acoustics costing 10 times as much as these 3 beauties. I own a T40e and it's the best guitar I've ever owned. I prefer it to many guitars twice or three times its price. Paul is a genius and this guitar has already paid for itself in emotional value. Well done PRS!

Agree 10000% I played a 50e maple along side 4000 Taylor's and gibsons and prs played 3 times easier was way louder with best tone as well. Prs is all I own now just needing a private stock ziricote now!

I can't believe I bought a brand new A50E for $470!!! Its the best bargain I have ever got in my life! Because The sound I get from this beauty is extraordinary that would sit a similar guitar in 1-3 grand (maybe I'm exaggerating??). Just love it so much I secretly play at night without waking up the missus and kids!

I bought an Angelus a beautiful sounding guitar I love to make the birds fly up and down the fret board. Tremendous guitars 🤩👍

Maple! I played all these maple sounds utterly amazing in person. Ziricote had alittke more bass but minimal. Prs is the best! I need a private stock

I wish i had seen this video first before watching so many other videos. It's a perfect comparison between the three. There is something about the A40E's sound that speaks to me. It's articulate highs and deep bass just sounds warm but melancholic at the same time. The A50E is crisp and snappy, but lacks a bit of low end. The A60E is almost perfect with the soft sounding highs and deep bass. To me the bass just sounds a bit too boomy for my taste, leaving little room for the highs to punch through. And it sounds and looks almost too perfect. I'll pick the A40E any day. Or buy a second one, whenever PRS decides to one up the A60E with an even crazier model.

@@Joe-ol4ds i prefer the cutaway on the Angelus models. You do lose a tiny bit of resonance, but gain a bit of snappiness, so it's worth it if that's your thing. That and the fact that an acoustic without a cutaway feels limiting if you're used to electric guitars.
